Captain Capsicum Hello all, here’s the 411 on the old eman. I have been a hot sauce freak for about 10 years now. Unlike alot of others I haven’t always craved that spicy nectar of the gods. I have always been in it for the taste and not just the mind blowing hotness, but that is just a bonus. So when looking for a good sauce or spicy food in general I will look for a good fresh taste, not a manufactured one. I guess I got this from my step mom. She is from Mexico and makes the best food and salsa I have ever had, so i guess I am always comparing things to hers.

Most people around the industry know me by my Blair’s collection and insanely weird (Captain Capsicum) things I come up with. I have been collecting Blair’s products since ‘98/’99 and have become obsessed with having the best Blair’s collection anywhere. If you have seen the pics then you know what I am talking about. The great thing is that my wife enjoys collecting just as much as I do. She constantly calls me and lets me know what is going on in the blog and whats for sale on eBay. I don’t think it would be as much fun if she wasn’t into it as much as she is.
Happy Sweating!!

Top 5 Hot Sauces:

Hottest Thing Ever Eaten:
Thought it would be fun it eat a whole fresh Habanero from the garden(yes,I was drunk)…Bad idea..bad..I can still taste it…..bulagh!!!!

Number of Hot Sauces Owned: About 150. I know that does not even come close to alot of killer collections out there but I save most of the collection money for rare Blair’s items.

Number of Hot Sauces Eaten in Lifetime: I have no idea. I usually go through one of the dozen bottles in the fridge about every 2 weeks.

Favorite Type of Sauce: I usually go for a good fresh tasting jajapeno or cayanne.

My Collection: eman’s Hot Sauce Collection

Way to go eman, I also look forward to your first review. Hopefully you will be able to balance your Blair’s obsession, the new reviewer job, with your hot sauce crime fighting- your plate is full brother.

Eman - Could you tell me about those silver and gold Tabasco bottles you recently bought? I have a nice tabasco collection going but I have never seen those. Just curious! Thanks!
