Fiery-Foods Show Hotel Reservations
Hey Guys, what's up? After all of the crap that went down at the Sandia last year, and not enjoying feeling like an inmate in the Sandia Correctional Facility, the Danny Cash Crew has decided to minimize our sentence there next year. However, we will be staying there on Saturday and Sunday nights due to the show party being right down the road and Sunday nights are dead downtown. But Thursday and Friday nights we will be staying right downtown in everybody's favorite city, Albuquerque. Seriously, I love that city on Friday and Saturday nights because there's so much sightseeing to do at the bars and on the streets: Live music, The cruisers, chick-fights, drunken homeless guys who try to mug you but aren't smart or fast enough (true, 2005 show) and best of all, cheap cheap liquor!
(anyone who has played Grand Theft Auto 3 will feel right a home).
The cheapest rates I could get out of the Sandia for Saturday and Sunday is $159 and $143, respectively. Someone let me know if they get better rates.
However, Hotel Blue- right downtown by the bars where we will be staying Thursday and Friday nights is only $80 a night AAA rate. Their number is 505-924-2400.
Both of these rates ae for standard rooms with 2 queen beds.
This is an open invitation for anyone who would like to come out and party with the DC guys Thursday and Friday night instead of paying $6 a beer and having your camera confiscated at the Sandia - they'll be plenty of time for that Sat & Sun!
There's power in numbers - we're getting older and scared of all those crazy kids down there and need some backup. Send me a message through the forum for my cell number.
Can't wait to see you guys in March!

Not a chance!! I'm still trying to recover from the last time 'partying' with you guys. I think I'm third now on the liver donor list ;-)
I hotwire something the week before the show & usually come out pretty good.

Sounds like fun, I just got my reservation today for Friday-Monday, leaving Monday at some point. Maybe my friend and I can check out the city via a rental car and see what goes down. One of the flights I have looked into does a pitstop in Denver. Is that the smart route with all that winter residue still a mile up? I hear you boys are from Colorado, so you know the weather much better than a east coaster.

C'mon Jim, let's get nuts! Hahaha. I have never seen you that crazy! We'll respect your (wise) decision to abstain, but know you're always invited!
Albuddah - you'll have no problems connecting in Denver. We've driven the last 4 years without a hitch (except for that one year when they shutdown the highway for a blizzard on the way back) but the airport was fine. Denver may be a mile high, but snow melts quick here and the airport hardly ever closes or has major delays due to snow.

Oh he made it past 9 p.m. and had 10 or 12 glasses of red wine by then! He was so hung over the next day he came up and threatened to punch me in the face! It was hilarious!

No problem, man. Catch a ride with us downtown after the show ends on Thursday or Friday, then you can call the Sandia shuttle to pick you up!

Hmmmm I wonder if I should come to this show or Texas? I can probably only do one and I need to pick. I had more fun in Forth Worth but if downtown ABQ is any fun I may change my mind!
What do you guys think? What show should I go to? I have fun anywhere I go so it's all good to me! I may just stick with the Cash crew anyway because they are usually around fun somewhere I mean Danny got me a bomber of Arrogant Bastard last year fo free!

Hey Aaron, what's up? Downtown Albuquerque is a lot of fun, but I prefer the bar scene in Texas. Lots of people really like the Sandia because of the Casino, and not having to travel each day is a plus. They are both great shows and a lot of fun. Albuquerque is more packed during public hours and has longer hours overall, although Texas is catching up. It seems to me that more companies familiar with the HSB come to Albuquerque, but I could be wrong. Either way we'll see you!

It will be a tough decision. I did have quite a bit of fun at Abq. I guess I will have to think about this one. I also preferred the downtown scene in Ft Worth but have never been to downtown Abq. Hmmmm What to do?
