World Championship Deathmatch II- Early Odds from Vegas
I just got this from my bookie friend from Vegas. There a lot of intangibles here of course and we will discuss them after the odds are displayed:
Justin 5-2
Hudd 4-1
The Field 10-1
Huvason 12-1
Newman 15-1
Ethan 15-1
Ohio State Fan 20-1
ATKRider 20-1
Gary 30-1
Lars 30-1
Leroy 35-1
Parker 40-1
Blanned 50-1
Jay T 50-1
Sam 100-1
The biggest factor to consider is who is coming and who is not. Parker and Sam have the heat factor to be in it, but they both most likely will not be coming. Yet, the desire is there so they are on the board for that alone. Sam with kid on the way is doubtful, but like Parker, skinny Chilehead doesn't necessary translate into fast eater.
Another factor is last years results. Huvason is on the board despite his retirement. As long as beer is at the event, anything is possible, but don't expect anyone in retirement to take home the gold, because champs lose their luster once they are out of the spotlight for a while and collecting dust. The big guy with the Ohio State shirt on in last years competition would of won it if it wasn't for some hallucinatory effects that the wings were causing him. I doubt he will make a return because of the mess he made in the restaurant bathroom. True story. Hey dude, that is what the evacuation receptacle is for! Ethan and Gary need lots of training to capture the gold. Justin and Hudd are the clear favorites, although recent diets might put a crimp in their training.
Others at the event like ATKRider, Lars & Blanned or those with hangovers that just missed the event, Newman, might challenge for the gold, but first experiences with these wings can be a bit overwhelming. Not sure JayT was there, but looking back at last years comments, he was obviously having second thoughts or flashbacks from a previous Deathmatch he had experienced. The Field is everyone else that might take a seat at the Table of Virtue. The word is out and you never know who might come and challenge for the coveted Deathmatch trophy.
As you see I could not include all the names on the poll. Sorry to those that I did not include. This thread is early odds and another poll can be adjusted at a later time.

I predict Huvason will win the DM, those 12-1 odds are too good to pass up.

DK won, but he has shown a bit of trepidation and lack of confidence with the release of DM MK II.

MKII Tastes like ass. Your statement is way off base. Please remove my name from the list.

Buddah has informed me that he cannot edit the poll without deleting it and starting over. So as not to cancel out the votes already cast, I ask that nobody casts a vote for me. Thank You.

Buddah you're a Dork. I just called my Vegas bookie to see what the odds are you have "Foot in Mouth" disease.
He said there are no odds. You have it.
BTW....ever hear of someone by the name of Kobayashi?

That's fair
the odds look pretty good. I would give ethan an edge due to experiance...but if there is a hole in ethans game it's that he can't eat that much in one sitting (hot or not).

Justin, Ethan was on the table of virtue with you last year. He wasn't a fast eater from what I recall hence the odds. Newman, since yo are from the same parts, depending on hangover state from the Friday before, I have determined your odds as such.
