COMING SOON!!!
The nation’s newest hot shop!!!

Grand Opening
July 27, 2007

114 S. Churton St., Suite 105
Hillsborough NC 27278
(just north of Bandido’s in Historic Hillsborough)

‘til then, visit our website, www.3gatosfireandrice.com

When 3gatos started in 1999, our goal was to create quality hot sauces for sale to the general public. As we went to festivals and trade shows to learn about starting our own hot sauce, we became very aware of how difficult it is for a small label to get its name out in the public.

Located in Hillsborough, North Carolina, 3gatos Fire and Rice is a online and storefront retailer of only the finest hot sauces and fiery foods.

From our encounters with others starting out in the fiery foods industry, 3gatos Fire & Rice is committed to providing an outlet for those harder to find and lesser known labels. We also specialize in items grown and produced from the state of North Carolina. From Semper Fi to Spice It Up! to Toad Sweat-You may not know these names now, but soon after you try the quality and taste of our home state, they are sure to become household names. Along with hot sauce, we carry barbecue sauce, assorted fiery foods, nuts, t-shirts and more.

Except for our very limited editions, we try every product we sell, so you always get quality with 3gatos, along with thorough descriptions and a sense of humor that won’t quit!

Come one, come all, and heat things up with the 3gatos!

Happy to wish you good luck! I can recommend Spice it Up as I’ve dealt with Mitch for awhile. Also have had long chats with Todd from Toad Sweat.

My question is, is that Semper Fi (the mass marketed stuff- from Peppers?) or my Semper Fry?

First, Thank you all for the outpour of support as we work on getting the store underway. It’s July 1st as I blog and we get the keys to the store’s location tomorrow!
Second, someone posted a question as to why the name 3gatos? When I first started making my own Chili Salsa and entering it in competitions, I was told it needed a name, so the only thing I could think off were my 3 precious helpers, AC, Ginger, and Data. so I called the salsa 3gatos. the 3 was supposed to have a space and the g was suppose to be caps, but I made a typo and it’s stuck ever since. We’ve since added a 4th cat named Gimli, and Data passed away last year, but we now have Eddy (or his full name E. Nygma). to check out out logo go to http://www.3gatosfireandrice.com
As for Fire and Rice. 3 reasons 1; I went to NC State where we had a duo called Fire and Ice, I took some food science courses there and graduated with as BA in history (thus also our store colors Black and Red- Go State!)
2; My all-time favorite Hot Sauce is Fire and Spice (thus a play on words)
3; We carry a line of rice dishes from Konriko in La. (thus the Rice)

We are currently accepting new sauces and if anyone has a sample to give, please do. Our address for shipping samples is
Box 175
Hillsborough, NC 27278

We can accept packages there, so please do. and send us some wholesale info too.
Thanks a bunch!
