Blair’s #85 Pre-AM Sold for $10,000

Blair's Pre AM

Three brothers separated at birth in upstate New York circa 1993, were reunited in a private collection in the USA. After months of negotiating and many long nights, the eldest brother (#85) has decided to leave his younger siblings and move to a new home.

Blair’s #85 Pre-AM was sold in private sale for $10,000 and is now the focal point in a large Blair’s collection. The new owner has requested to keep their identity unknown, and the sale was handled by Fire N Smoke, LLC. www.firensmoke.com

Blair's Pre AM

This was the first specialty “Reserve” bottle released by Blair Lazar of Blair’s Sauces and Snacks, long before he kept any real records. There were less than 100 to be made, and believed that there are only 3 left unopened. They originally sold for $10 at a Fiery Foods show in upstate NY in 1993 or 1994. Since, Blair has gone on to produce close to 20 other Reserve bottles from his AM Series thru his most recent N2-59 recently released at the Fiery Foods Show in NM. Included is the 16 Million Reserve, which holds the Guinness Book of World Records for “The Hottest Chili Powder”.

Darn it I should have bought it and open it at JJ’s show for everyone to try. That would have been KICK ASS. The wine tasting would have nothing on use.

With the HSB crew drinking you would definitely lose money. With all that drinking going on you would have to put Sandia plastic on everything.

Adam, it’s been a little while though. but the question is how much did you pay? did you end up with a decent return on investment? how long did you have it for? just curious..never really talked to you about that before.

Good Point bigshow, and please know that I am only kidding about drowning myself. Maybe just banging my head on the table. I bought it for $99.99 (buy-it-now on Ebay), and kept it for about six months. So I have no place to complain! Imagine how that guy must feel! Of course, neither of us really knew what it was at the time.

exactly, so 9 times your money is 6 months is pretty good. they sold for $10 new, so it took him 11-12 years to make 10 times his money.
