Oh yes! If it was a wooden case with brass corner protectors and a brass hasp… Seriously that NEEDS to be the collector version! Everyone else can deal with the cool cardboard box, but the signed and numbered deal Needs to have the OFF THE HOOK display box! I know Blair can make that happen, even though I would never be able to afford it, it would sell out at any cost!

It would be right up there with Dave’s Insanity Reserve in the wooden “coffin” crate. I’ve always thought that was a really cool package for a sauce.

My favorite though is the bottle of Haunted Hot Sauce that came in a wooden coffin with a latch and hinges. Moss and little rubber maggots packeged inside of it with the bottle. LOL!!

Evidently, they’re backordered on it. Can’t wait to get some more of it!! It’s unreal. SOOOO good.

I might have to pick up some of the new chips with it.

COOL!!! I love Blair’s chips. I’m going to be down covering The Jungle Jim’s Weekend of Fire show so I hope he’ll have some of the new chips at his booth.

And, I must say, as a guitar playing fool, I’ve always been in love with Zack’s bullseye Les Paul. I got to play one at a few Sam Ash’s before, sound amazing. Gotta Love the EMG pickups.

If his chips are anywhere near as good as his After Death sauce, they have the potential to spread nationwide. I hope that they do; more folks need to get turned-on to these awesome sauces, and I’d like to see em’ in supermarkets around here.

Ummmm ya - considering I was just in Texas just over a month ago with Nick I know the current state of affairs. As I said there is a lot going on that takes priority. Have some patience.

My complaints were quick and forgotten. My concern is more with Nick (and Laura), and hope that everything is OK on their end. I get the feeling that somebody here knows what’s going on, but I’m clueless.

No, not really. A little burn is normal if you get it on your lips (eg. I sprinkled Montego Bay Jolokia powder all over cheese pizza), lips burn but no chapping or cracking, same deal with Naga Sore Ass, Naga Sabi and Jolokia Havoc. Did you get it on your lips and then proceed to lick them and make it worse?

Ouch, Naga chapped lips…sounds very unpleasant. I live in a dry climate (New Mexico) and that would absolutely drive me nuts.

We are all just concerned about the state of the HSB and would of course like to see it back up and running as it once was. Whatever is going on with Nick is his business and nobody here should feel as if they are owed an explanation or anything. I think it would be fair to say that we are all just curious to know if the HSB is going away or if there is some plan to bring it back anytime soon. I think a board member could probably answer this, but they seem to be absent too.

I have tried the chips, they are very good, They are “medium heat” for the masses. I wanted to see a Jolokia chip, but apparently the tests were something akin to a tear gas bomb going off in the chip factory!

Yah, the sauces are still on schedule, sort of. Things are just taking a bit longer than I would like, but we’re still moving forward. I’m currently waiting for my co-packer to send me their bench samples of my products so I can make sure they are correct. Hopefully there won’t be much if any tweaking that needs to be done. I have positive thoughts. Our new co-packer has been really easy to work with and things have been going well this time around. Looking at a late summer/early fall launch.

Oh yah I did. When this whole venture began, that was my original intent. Unfortunately I live in Mayberry and there are no commercial kitchens to rent time in. Plus I just don’t have that much time to spend in the kitchen. My regular full-time job gets in the way. I’ll take a smaller margin on the product, but I’ll have more time to sell and market, so volume should make up the difference. One day I hope to have our own production facility, but that’s a ways off.

Thats great! I won a bid on a duplex, but I am hoping I will close in time before I have to leave my apt when the lease is up. If I am not moving on Saturday I will have a huge headache. The place passed inspection today so thats a big step in the right direction. Thanks 4 asking.

Thats great! I won a bid on a duplex, but I am hoping I will close in time before I have to leave my apt when the lease is up. If I am not moving on Saturday I will have a huge headache. The place passed inspection today so thats a big step in the right direction. Thanks 4 asking.

Speaking of past-anyone ever hear from Brian Moon (Loco Luna) last I remember he had a few folks a little ticked off. I see the website is still working.

i heard that guy was one of the nicest guys out there. i never heard the rumor bout him making others mad. on another note - i got an email from ScottyB and he will be getting back in business soon. you watch out, that guy makes a couple excellent sauces.

Good to hear ScottyB is returning. Excellent sauces! I recently read an article about Chuck Evans of Montezuma Brand and his rediculous trademark on the term “Smokey Chipotle” and his lawsuits against any and all violators of its use. On his site he lists all of the companies he’s sent cease and desist orders to. Listed are ScottyB and THT, BUT he also says that they are both out of business. Isn’t it illegal to falsely state on a public forum that a business is out of business when it isn’t? Couldn’t that be harmful to their business? Chuck Evans is a true piece of work and is in no way a part of the fraternity of sauce makers and chilie heads that we all belong to. Am I the only one who is mad about this guy?

WOW, this guy is a real jerk it seems. I read about all his law suits against his trademarked name and it seems like he’s so busy with the lawsuits instead of selling hot sauce.

Chuck Evans has been a thorn in many manufacturers sides, this is true. THT was in fact sent a cease and desist letter AFTER a verbal agreement was made at our first show in NM. Even after we changed our lables AS PROMISED he still posted our name up on his website as
“VIOLATORS”!!!!! Now anyone who knows THT and the history of our BBQ Sauce names, knows, we did in fact comply with Mr.Montezuma’s demands and yet we were still harassed. If you ask me, he has proven that
