don’t think it will end anywhere near my price range tho. Does anyone have a higher number one that they’s be willing to part with? OR a 5am

For #72 I’d pay $550 - $600. I know they have gone for more - Much more

If only it was goin in a months time - I get £412 tax return and my student loan instalment! If only they hadn’t taxed me in the 1st place - but then again I’d probably have spent it already ;)

Comment #20:
Comment by Mad_Reilly (766) - 3/14/2006 @ 2:16 pm | [ Quote ]

Yes and no. I’d say the top 20 would get a permium. Or, If you were able to get a set of all the same number (which is my next venture) Definatly #1 and the last number will fecth a pretty penny. Or some whacky number like a 6 of 66. or a 9 of 99 (my holiday reserve)

Comment #21:

Ohhhh boy, Im thinking about selling my Z28 again for hot sauce. Someone please talk me out of it.

Comment #23:
Comment by Scott (593) - 3/14/2006 @ 2:29 pm | [ Quote ]

Well my problem is that I have 2 hobbies. #1 HOT SAUCE and #2 Drag racing. Not the most cheap hobbies out there. Ive been kind of out of the racing thing for a while (just not into it right now) and though about selling the car to buy a TON of sauce. Its just a 95 6 speed Z28 with some minor mods done to it. I know if I sell it I will just kick myself later because I just cant get the racing bug out of me.

How about if you fondle my wife instead :) I think I’m going to forget a shrine cabinet and just add another room to the house. Along with a killer death ray security system

Comment #31:
Comment by Jezza (89) - 3/14/2006 @ 3:11 pm | [ Quote ]

Yeah, please do Matt - I’ve been after a numbered 3am for some time now, but generally when they’ve come up on ebay they’ve not been available to the UK, so to find one locally would be ideal!

I know what you mean about not getting a new bottle for a while and it takes alot of discipline to prevent yourself from just going out and buying whatever is currently available - what you’re looking for inevitably seems to come up just after you’ve spent all your cash, lol :)

I’ve recently picked up a few new ones though so can’t really complain.

Imagine if all the HSB’rs that go to Zest Fest or NM next year all wear the HSB shirt. They will stick out in a crowd and you will know who your fellow HSB’rs are.

Hardly out of the kitchen Chris, we’re just getting started! Trying to perfect a new sauce for Sept. Trying to get it to production in time for all you chiliheads. maybe instead of T-shirts, all you guys should shave your heads and let Cajohn sign ‘em. We’d know the HSB’ers anywhere that way.

Jeff B-99 is rarer, there were only 99 but the 4am has an imaginary infated price tage because of the story of one going for 5k at some auction. probably also for the illusion of gold which is a sense of value visually.
Either way 4am will probably get more per bottle currently. Give it a few years when you never see a B-99 N59 Holiday 05 on the market they will get some serious cash then probalby

Jeff - another thing to consider is that originally, the 4AM was the first limited edition reserve that Blair made. The 2 and 3 AM’s are an open series, even though they are no longer numbered. That’s another reason that the 4AM demands a higher premium. Not to mention, every time you hear about someone trying some 4AM and talk about how hot it is, the remaining ones in mint condition just became that much more rare…

Comment #152:
Comment by Mad_Reilly (766) - 3/15/2006 @ 12:13 am | [ Quote ]

I have insurance on them. They didn’t specifically appraise them I think it’s under our “umbrella”. I had to list everything I wanted insured, tools, jewlery, hot sauce, etc. They just gave me a premium and that was that. I can say this though. You pay out the ying yang for insurance and when you need it, no matter how careful you read the policy, it turns out you not covered.

I did a straight trade with a Holiday ‘05 I had (i don’t remember the number, but it was nothing special) For a 4A.M. guy seemed happy to do it (I know I was) and the best part was that he approached me about it. So based on the look of B-99 hell yeah its a fair trade in comparison to what I did. People trade that rocks. Just takes a while to find them sometimes. You might go to list a bottle on eBay and as soon as someone sees it they might say…hmm were you looking to do a straight trade this for that. Sometimes you get nice and Lucky!
Lets hear it for - Yin & Yang, Karma and 888.

This presents me with a dilemma since I have my own logo on t-shirts. I bring several to the shows to wear all day every day.

BUT…..I’m in!!!!!

Great - thanks for this detail. I will see what happens looking for a trade for a 4 am…

Nick - Totally off the topic, but my wife is threatening to take a baseball bat to my collection if I don’t post this…

She wants to suggest a WSB (Women’s (wives) Support Blog) for those that feel the HSB has become “the other woman”.

Kidding about the bat thing, she wouldn’t do that. :-P …yet :-(

Sure, how do you want it? Straight up, w/ tonic/ or in a martini glass drinking it straight up anyway, just looking cool while doing it? Oh, and we can add some spicy olives to it in the martini glass. ;-)

LOL I don’t care how it’s made really. Gotta spice it up no doubt though!

My guess is he doesn’t need the money. He also owns #1 4AM #1 6AM and #3 5AM. It was fun watching the last minute of bidding though.
No invoice yet. But no rush either. :)

And to be quite honest thakswet, I think that is worth way more than the #1 4AM IMO but that is all it is is an opinion, it is older, that is #1 of 75, not #1 of 999, everything about it should make it rarer and more valuable. But put both on eBay and people would go more apeshit than the pre am or Prototype caldera 1/1 for the #1 4AM. And the 3 AM would get some nice coin i bet not even a grand. (although maybe it would today as prices seem to be going up a little)

I’m sure there will be plenty interested, but you have to keep something in mind: Single-digit (which are significantly more valuable than a double-digit, even it’s a close number) bottles of 5AM *might* (and that’s a big maybe) bring $1000. Most very low two-digits I’ve seen have had empty auction results even at $700. If you’re looking to get somewhere in the ballpark of $600 or less, you may have a buyer. Anything over $750 or so - much less ANYTHING in the four figure range - and you’ll probably be sitting on that bottle for a LONG time. :)

Not trying to be rude…just trying to be helpful in telling you the market, and helping you move the bottle. :)
