But that in itself make for people that just have one type of patter, to want to try to get others with different base colors, nice job there from a collectible standpoint.

good for them if they want to collect all the different wax patterns, and good luck to them if they try. It really goes to show that no one is ever truly happy with what they have if they can get something more or 3 of the same that look different.

Well I dunno if it really shows anything as no one has tried so far, I was only stating the possibility. To say “No One” is a large overstatement i thing or generalization. However for someone like myself with ADOCD…Thats Attention deficite Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which means I am constantly changing what i am obsessively compulsive about (insert laugh here) I might try to get a few different patterns to satisfy the OCD in me this month

You just have to say what you mean and explain it and walk away and let him have the inevitable arguement with himself that leads up to the eventual line of explanation you gave him up front… err… something like that.

I received my Blue Based FireCracker 500 today #39.. Can say that
I am completely satisfied it looks the greatest, looking at the top down
it is red/white/blue. Will not be on E-Bay.

I got my blue-base Firecracker, number 101. I found the package on my front porch this morning as I was leaving for work. That means the UPS guy came after 7pm last night or before 7am this morning, and somehow managed to get onto my porch without either of my dogs noticing.

The box was beat to hell and was literally hanging open. One of the plastic cases was smashed into about 40 pieces, but both bottles were still in one piece. Thank goodness!

Has anyone else has reserves arrive with broken cases before? Is it possible to get a replacement, because my Encore is naked right now!

There’s a reason the UPS guy didn’t want to be seen, he didn’t want a beat down.

Horrible nightmare last night, I got my FC and there was a hole in the bottom. That was scary.

Hey Freeze, I feel like it has taken months for this Reserve…In fact, it has been Months……Each Bottle has been completed in Stages…..For Whatever Reason, This Reserve was Major Effort..(Of course I have never Produced Two at the Same time) and do not think I will again..But with that said….Honestly, I have never had more fun with a bottle (That did not have Alcohol in it anyway) ….As for Hockey..That is another Story. Well with 500 reular bottles, lets say 100 individual orders from collectors ordering a single, 50 orders for 2 each, 25 orders for 3-4 each then i would hazard a guess the rest went in lots of ten to retailers about lets say 20 retailers overall. I would say 195.

I think pmac’s theory is probably pretty close, but I believe that there are more people buying multiples than that. I believe the total Encores are going to be less. Say maybe 120?

I don’t even think my order has been shipped yet. :/

I called for a tracking number, and it says it’s been charged to the shipper, but that it hasn’t been picked up for delivery. I got my order in in the first two hours too.

I would have to feel sorry for the poor delivery man who dropped off a broken Blair’s reserve, not only for the beating he would get from the recipient, but also for the pain he would feel when his black eye got itchy, which we all know it would, if not only for karma’s sake, but for the pure revenge of the collector who suffered the broken delivery!!!

#32 Blue Base arrived from Jungle Jim’s today in case anyone is keeping track. Thanks Bret! Box was broken though. Still waiting on my official ones from Blair.

I do not think any one is really keeping track at this stage. There is a specific thread though for the White base and special Encores in the forum I noticed. No one has claimed to have gotten one yet though. Something tells me not many will though. There still a lot of people that want to keep to themselves.

I dont quite get it either, the only I can think is that some people might be embarrased by the amount of money they spend on hot sauce… I know sometimes when I tell people what some of my reserves and rare bottles have cost me, they truely think I’ve lost the plot!!

I Know what you mean, people just don’t get the Idea of collecting hot sauce. One of my freinds asked me what was so special about the hot sauce, the sauce inside or something else. It is really hard to explain to other people why I collect it.

Well, just a guess, but I remember in the not to distant past, a big ta-doo arose over the fact someone had a bunch of N-59’s. People called that person a few less than amiable terms of endearment. Not that anyone wouldn’t have jumped at the chance to own a bunch of them, but because it was someone other than themselves, a bit of jealousy arose. Perhaps it was just misdirected hostility, but nonetheless a tad of resentment came to the surface. and it got a little ugly for a short time. Perhaps the ’secretive’ people would like to keep things friendly. Like I said, just a guess.

LOL Yeah, maybe that is it. It is only money. If you happen to have enough then great. If not it sucks, but either way enjoy what little you have got either way. It is only money.

It might not be able to buy happiness, but you can choose your own misery if you have enough.

I do know 2 collections I would like to see hi res pics of one day.
PR and MR collections. I think they would be very interesting.
However there are, I am certain, others out there that would just be amazing too. ahem, cough*blairs*cough to see one day.

Got mine today as well, Red #51, plastic display box broken on mine as well. Lid and Sticker cracked, and cracked on bottom. Thanks again Bret! You da man!

Look closely at the label, it looks like it was soaked.

I can’t believe the prices of the beyond death - I got one in a set of sauces I bought on Ebay for just around $80 total about a year ago! Of course, because I’m an idiot, I let it go to another collector not long after. I didn’t know what it was

I recieved my Firecracker today - Pristine #94 with a blue base. Very awesome!

#56 blue base and #72 red base are safe in my home. Normal Encore. There is still hope for a white base though as I put in two seperate orders……Bottles in perfect shape along with the cases….What an AWESOME RESERVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Blair !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, when I started collecting I didn’t know much about the value of Blair’s rare products. I also let go of a fine pre-AM reserve bottle!

The UPS truck finaly came to Canada with my reserves….I was soo happy then it turned to wonder….Why are my firecrackeres signed out of 999 as opposed to the 500……anyone else have this?

I bet Blair just signed so many of them, he just did it without thinking. Plus, almost all of the “big” reserves (big production) have 999, so he probably just did it out of habit! hahaha.
