Nick,
I got one for you. One of the guys from my fire company drank a whole bottle of Blair's Megadeath hot sauce. And it only cost us $50.00 ($5.00 from the ten of us when he was too stupid to take the bet). Well, after mixing it with a cup of beer and twenty minutes later, it cost him $400.00 for the emergency room visit. Needless to say, we all know it's the hottest sauce WE'VE tried. And we still haven't let him forget it (we still have the pictures of him in the back of the ambulance).

200% is just 2x hotter. Do you mean 20000%, which would be 200x hotter?

The success rate is based on the initial baseline sample.

I did take a final sample, after all the tasting and the time was nearly identical which was the reason that I didn't post it.

I wish you would have ended the testing with another base test (Nothing). This might have illiminated any "getting used to the pain" that can occur.

How did you come up with the "success rate" numbers? I am interested as I ran a similar test myself on Da Bomb - The Final Answer. I never wrote down what I ate, nor did I write down how long the burn took to go away, but I was thinking if I ever had the dumbass idea of doing that again I would make it scientific.

Hey Nick, I agree that yoghurt works best. And don't go for that non-fat stuff, as the fat seems to do the magic. Cottage cheese works great, too, probably due to its grainy texture, which seems to help rubbing off the capsaicin.
