Appears to be cat hair, no Bones found yet (a little scared to dig!). The Zero was in the silver box when I got it. Not sure whether to take it out! Gotta admit though, that picture is even freakier in person.

Again, thanks to DC, Nick, and everyone that voted. I guess the Caption #2 results are due soon, I never looked to see who was who on that one. I look forward to doing more of these, great fun.

Well Huv, I figure it will go like this. If you make an exchange of the homunculus for the zero, you will basically make the situation worse. That depends on if I can get more of some of the materials I used. The materials I speak of were purchased for creating something else, but the Mrs. came up with a great idea to use it in the project. If I can get more, it will stay in my display case where it sits now. If not, then I’ll have to dismantle part of it

Hey Vic, that could be a good idea. Maybe all the finalists put them up in one auction. All the money goes to charity. Since Nick is such a great guy, we could donate it all to the American Cancer Society. I guess it would depend on whether anyone actually used a good bottle of sauce!

I have to admit, the bottle of sauce I used was opened, but not much of it used. Another problem with mine is that an important aspect of it would not withstand the stress of shipping…its gonna have to stay here.

Well I used a couple of different sauces in a custom bottle. Not sure if I would want it to go to some that may try and taste it, I didn’t sanitize the container. Just made it for looks. It does contain actual sauce however.

yep, friday is the day. a high res camera definately helps, but there’s ways around that too. the camera I use is only 2.1 MP, but when I really want to make something look great, I manage with a few tricks of the trade.

The final vote: The HSB community will have the final vote on the top 15 - 20 entries. The entry with the most votes will recieve #1, the entry with the second most votes will receive number 2 and so on and so forth. There will only be 10 winners (there are only 10 bottles).
Any of the final entries with suspected voting fraud will be eliminated.
All entry submissions must be received by 4/21 (that gives you 2 weekends to work) and final voting will be held the following week.

Mine is 1.3 MP, it does well outside with sunlight, just sux indoors.

That’s a good way to go. I had 3 years training in high school for two periods a day, have played around with stuff from time to time, but recently ( in the last month or so ) really got back into it. It has been a lot of fun.

Ryan, I can email ya a couple of pics and you can see what I mean about the lighting. Not asking for help, it’s just hard to explain. I don’t think it would hurt to let ya see them. Heck they may never get seen otherwise.

If ya want, not a big thing, just to show ya what I am up against. I’ll send the vid as well, so you can see what I am trying to capture. The presentation I think is more important than the actual item in this case. I have made it hard on myself as usual. Sending in a few.

To give ya an idea of what I can do with PSP, the background is something I did. Wasn’t completely from scratch, but enough work to seem like it. PSP is a lot of fun.

Send me the pic back you got for the video. I sent the vid to myself and it came back as a vid. I would like to see how it looks as a grab. Can you get a zip, I’ll resend that way. I think you will like the vid if you can get it.

DK, I got the lighting better on the pic, but the low res does create a bit of graininess. The data is there, just not compact enough. gonna try a couple more things, but if you want to use the resolution and lighting you got with the video, try e-mailing it to yourself to get into a jpeg. If that doesn’t work, I can send it back to you in that format.

Night Vic! Gone myself soon, late here on the east coast. Another half hour at this photo stuff and I am calling it quits tonight.

OK, so you saw the vid. I played with some color correction on one image, but it still looks funny. I am goig to try and get another camera to play with tommorrow, so I think I will be ok.

DK, you are a piece of work. I will be checking my e-mails tonight, it’s been a little hectic as of late. I had an interesting “mishap” during one of our distillation procedures (yeah, I’m already working on the Batch #3 stuff, so it will be ready by September). The “stuff” was slightly under pressure and very hot, and I got splashed in the face with a bunch of it. Thank God for goggles, however I had lowered my respirator for a split second, but that’s all the time that was needed. Needless to say, it’s nice having the St. Barnabas Burn Unit 15 minutes away. The Createss had a great quote for it, “If you live by the sword, you die by the sword”, pretty accurate in this instance. Anyway, I’ll check it tonight and give you a reply.
