BURNING ASPHALT PROVIDES TROOPS A TASTE OF HOME

Forestville, NY (12/10/07) – A love of this country and the desire to support our overseas troops has served as a catalyst for Burning Asphalt Sauces, LLC to create a non-profit program named “Sauces for Soldiers.” Founded by Jeff Furash, President of Burning Asphalt Sauces and Marilyn Sticek, Forestville, NY Postmaster, this program has been providing overseas troops non-perishable sauces, snacks, and spices since 2003. The program is entirely non-government supported and funded by Burning Asphalt Sauces and friends. There is never a charge to our overseas armed forces.

For the past few years, Burning Asphalt Sauces, a Forestville, NY gourmet specialty food manufacturer and distributor, has offered a limited number of collectible holiday gift packs to support a variety of non-profit organizations and charities. The proceeds from this year’s collectible gift pack will go directly to “Sauces for Soldiers” to help defray shipping costs overseas.

This special Collector Edition gift pack will feature three of their popular gourmet sauces sporting a “Sauces for Soldiers” label. The customer will have a choice of product within a category. Included will be a hot sauce (Garlic Habanero or Sweet & Hot Garlic Habanero), barbeque sauce (Honey Smoked or Apple), and salsa (Mild, Medium, or Hot). Also included will be a Military Snowman holiday ornament. “As always we are very excited to be in a position to give our support to our overseas troops for all they have done for our country. The very least we can do is provide them a little taste of home,” said Mr. Furash. The special Collector Edition gift packs and individual collector bottles can be purchased directly from Burning Asphalt Sauces by emailing them through their website, www.BurningAsphalt.com or www.SaucesForSoldiers.com .

Burning Asphalt Sauces, LLC, uses both natural and fresh ingredients in their gourmet sauces, snacks, and rubs. Besides their manufacturing and wholesale operation, they also have a custom and private label program. Non-profit organizations, businesses, and individuals can have their message on a bottle as a fundraising item, promotional item, or gift for the holidays. Their gourmet products can be found both locally and nationally. Products can also be found at “Pride of New York” wineries. For additional information, visit www.BurningAsphalt.com or www.SaucesForSoldiers.com .

Tabanero Hot Sauce Debut Delayed Due to Severe Flooding in Mexico
Posted on 11.09.07 by Nick Lindauer @ 11:15 am | Comments: None |
BOCA RATON, Fla., Nov. 8 /PRNewswire/ — TransMedia Group, the PR firm for TABANERO(TM) sauce, said today that its scheduled February launch will be delayed to later in 2008 due to the severe flooding in Tabasco state where peppers for the Salsa Picante Mexicana to be marketed under the TABANERO(TM) brand are grown.

According to TransMedia’s Chairman Tom Madden, long-term recovery efforts will likely include agricultural rehabilitation as about 90 percent of Tabasco’s crops were inundated by the floods in what was one of Mexico’s worst recent natural disasters.

Madden said, in addition to immediate aid, part of the proceeds from the sale of Tabanero will go toward aiding victims of the flood which affected nearly half of the state’s two million inhabitants, many of whose homes were destroyed. Voted one of the best-tasting hot sauces ever, Tabanero is sure to score a hit with hot sauce lovers across the U.S., so it should help to not only enliven food, but help Tabasco’s victims as well, Madden said.

The allocated proceeds will be directed to charitable organizations involved in relief efforts, including the American Red Cross and Catholic Relief Services.

A week of heavy rains caused rivers to overflow, drowning at least 80 percent of the Mexican state. “According to our sources, the state capital, Villahermosa, looked like New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina,” with water reaching to second-story rooftops and desperate people awaiting rescue, he said.

“The devastation is terrible from rivers overflowing and something like 80% of the state is flooded in one fashion or another. Our people on the ground there said it looks like New Orleans after Katrina” said Madden. “When they learned the scope of the problems caused by the terrible flooding, our client felt they had to do something both now and going forward to help.”

According to reports, at least one death was reported and nearly all services, including drinking water and public transportation, were shut down. The flood affected more than 900,000 people in the state of two million — their homes flooded, damaged or cut off by high water.

“Our thoughts and prayers and those of the entire Tabanero team go out to the people of Tabasco.”

SPICE-EDELIC FLAVORS FIRE UP THE HOLIDAYS WITH
LIMITED EDITION KETTLE™ BRAND CHIPS GIFT PACK

- Fans Invited to Choose Favorite for 2008 -

SALEM, Ore. – Nov. 1, 2007 – Zesty blends of chilies and peppers with ginger and lime pop in a special Party Pack of limited edition Kettle™ brand Chips flavors as part of this year’s People’s Choice campaign. Dubbed “Fire and Spice,” the fourth annual People’s Choice event lets fans choose the next potato chip flavor to hit store shelves. Online voting begins Nov. 1, 2007 at www.kettlefoods.com with the winning flavor announced Jan. 14, 2008.

The People’s Choice Fire and Spice Party Pack includes five 5-ounce bags, one of each flavor up for vote, including: Wicked Hot Sauce, Mango Chili, Jalapeño Salsa Fresca, Orange Ginger Wasabi or Death Valley Chipotle. It’s available at www.kettlefoods.com for $14.95 plus shipping, and includes a fun guide to tasting each flavor, food and drink ideas to cool your palate between fiery flavors, voting ballots, stickers and more. The Fire and Spice Party Pack is a fun gift idea for the hard-to-buy-for people on everyone’s holiday list.

“Our fans have chosen some of our best-selling flavors in past People’s Choice campaigns, including Spicy Thai™, Tuscan Three Cheese, and Buffalo Bleu, but they kept asking us when we were going to do ‘hot’ flavors,” said Kim Sheridan, Kettle Foods’ Chief Flavor Architect. “We developed the Fire and Spice flavors for people looking for more than just mouth burn. The flavors tease the taste buds with unexpected complexity, like combining cayenne and habanero chilies with sweet mango and cinnamon.”

Sheridan describes flavors up for vote as:

· Wicked Hot Sauce: inspired by hot sauce, the cayenne pepper and vinegary tang flood taste buds with spicy heat.

· Mango Chili: sweet mango highlighted with a salty, spicy blend of cayenne and habanero chilies will have your tongue dancing the mango tango.

· Jalapeño Salsa Fresca: a blend of fiery jalapeño and spicy cayenne mellowed with soothing sun dried tomato, green bell pepper and lime flavors.

· Orange Ginger Wasabi: the punch of wasabi, a little ginger and a twist of citrus blend for a spicy Asian bite.

· Death Valley Chipotle: a smoky blend of red chili, cayenne, chipotle, habanero and herbs lays the foundation for this flavor’s slow burning heat.
