As an avid peanut butter and hot sauce fan, I've got to hand it to you. It takes some real cojones to make (and eat) a cookie like this. I may try a cayenne pepper addition to my next batch of peanut butter cookies.

I'll post my results when I make them for the upcoming Superbowl on my blog: Peanut Butter Boy.

Thanks!

I printed this recipe about a week before I actually got around to making them, and in that week my wife & I had some real good Chicken Sate, so I got to thinking, Peanut Butter... Thai Food... Well, I decided to use Thai Dragon Chile Powder from my crop this summer instead of the Cayenne, and they were AWESOME!

Thanks for the recipe. We LOVED them.

Great recipe! I doubled the cayenne and it was still very nice. Not too hot at all, infact you hardly notice it when first biting into them, but it leaves a nice residual warmth when you finish one.

Thanks!

Instead of cayenne powder try some habanero powder!
That will keep them from mooching the cookies out of the jar.
