Our Woodman's grocery store in Madison, WI has not 1, but 2 different chile beers to choose from. I did not them at all, much to my dismay.

Sorry, I have no tip for you for NYC.

Thanks for the tip - But from what I've found here in NYC, most liqour stores sell only hard alchol and look at me cross eyed when I asked them for chile beer. But I've got some folks here in the city pounding the pavement for me, so we'll see how it turns out soon

Nick,

I don't know of a chile beer on the market, but Cat's Meow (a pretty reliable source) had an interesting looking recipe in their database: http://brewery.org/brewery/cm3/recs/07_11.html

It's been a while since I've brewed but this doesn't look too complicated. Anyway, I also might suggest you just go to your local beverage supplier and ask if he has anything in his catalog. Mine will often just look up things for me when I'm after something for a recipe.

-Jennifer

p.s. Thanks for stopping by my site. I posted a question back to you there if you have the time to take another look.
