hmm, i would put this as a six of ten heat-wise, unless you have tried extracts just to see "how hot can something really get?" then you really have no idea how really freakin hellish , and potentially dangerous they can be!

no offense, i know there are some die-hard chiliheads here, but unless you are that one guy who ate pure capsaicin... then i really suggest you pick a hot sauce with good heat and flavour, and just stick with it... until it gets bland and you want to go hotter!

I really like the pepper stuck into the potatoes as "garnish."

When I first was introduced to Dave's Insanity, I still had a conceited view of my heat-tolerance (I thought that nothing was "too hot" for me). Thus, I used it as one would use ketchup for a glaze on a meatloaf. After finishing my dinner, and spending the next 45 minutes in the bathroom wondering if I was going to make it or explode, my ego received a reality check.

Since that fateful evening, I have been much more cautious in my approach to hot sauces. I still use and love them (1 tablespoon mixed with 1/2 cup ketchup and 1 teaspoon of cumin for my meatloaf glaze), but now I have a healthy respect for anything that says, "Warning: Use this product one drop at a time."
