*** Save the damsels in distress *** Ok HSB’ers The Three Hot Tamales really need your help! We thought while getting what we needed from you guys, we can have some FUN… Those of you who know us also know that FUN should be our middle name… Three Hot Fun Tamales… (Well that’s another contest).
Anyways, I’m sure that everyone can see that we have been having some name issues with our Chipotle BBQ Sauce. Last year in New Mexico, we were approached by Chuck Evans from Montezuma telling us that we were using the name that he trademarked…. long story short we stopped using our original name of Smokin Chipotle and changed it to Jersey Girls Beat Down [tag]BBQ Sauce[/tag] (taken from a comment on the Hot Sauce Blog).
Now, that’s a great name and all but it just doesn’t seem to fit in the grand scheme of our product names. Kristi, Jodie and myself have spent many a nights at Kristi’s house with our old friend Southern Comfort with NO success!!!! You know our product names as sultry, sexy, flirty…..and so on.
So this is where you guys come in.
We will run this contest until Tuesday November 7th we will consider EVERY name that is posted and pick 1 winner. They will receive not only MAJOR bragging rights in saying that they named such a kick A** bbq sauce, but they will also receive as thanks from us our entire product line (signed if you request).
I can’t wait to see what these guys come up with..

To help get the creative juices flowing, here is some information about the Tamales flagship BBQ Sauce. Once you’ve got an idea for a catchy name, post it here as a comment.
Three Hot Tamales {YOU NAME IT} BBQ Sauce
Tangy and Sweet with a kick. Sauteed onions, Smoked Chipotle Peppers and brown sugar create a flavor that any meat will desire.
Heat Scale: 6
Size: 12 fl. Oz.
Ingredients: Ketchup (Tomato Concentrate made from Red Ripe Tomatoes, Distilled Vinegar, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Corn Syrup, Salt, Spice, Onion Powder, Natural Flavorings), Water, Onion, Brown Sugar, Chipotle Peppers, Apple Cider Vinegar, Garlic, Onions, Canola Oil.

You know what, I absolutely love the Jersey Girl Beatdown BBQ Sauce handle. It’s cool and makes Uncle Big smile everytime I look at the bottles on the shelf.
People, especially of the female persuasion, pick it up giggle and show it to their significant other when they see it in the store. Hey if you’re not using that name anymore, can I have it?? Huh can I?? 
Regardless of the name, it’s my favorite BBQ sauce at this moment in time. Mrs. Uncle Big can’t get enough…of the Jersey Girl Beatdown that is. Keep fighting the good fight ladies.
Just for the sake of the naming request, how about THT Non-Trademark Infringing BBQ Sauce (With Smoked Jalapenos). Huh, how’s about that one. What is this world coming to??
Mr. Evans’ trademark is for “Smokey Chipotle” anyways isn’t it? I was under the impression Smokin’ and Smokey were two different words. Oh my God, I just realized when I describe our Droolin’ Devil Chipotle Hot Sauce, I use the words “Smokey Chipotle Flavour” in it’s description!! I better call my lawyer.
I wonder how the litigation against Kraft is going?? That’s the biggest dog in the yard for sure, a David and Goliath thing going on there. I have a bottle of Kraft Bull’s Eye Smokey Chipotle in my camping box as a matter if fact. It’s full of Smokey Chipotle goodness 
Now first thing I would do is make a lawyer instruct Mr. Evans to take down the slanderous verbage about the THT’s from his website. They are obviously doing your due diligence in changing the name and labelling (at their expense no doubt). That’s not cool by me. But what the f*ck do I know right?
Seriously, I don’t think letting someone trademark two words that really aren’t that unique in their usage makes any sense at all. It’s kind of like “You’re Fired” and “That’s Hot”, it didn’t work for Trump or Paris now did it?
Oh wait, here’s another one, Under Empty Threat of Litigation BBQ Sauce. The fact that the Tamales even have to do this is leaving a very bitter taste in mouth. Can’t we all just get along??

How about “Fire It Up” Sauce or just “Pig Sauce” or “UP Close and Personal” or “Vibrating Lips” or “Hum Baby Hum” or “Dial S for Sauce” or “Call ME”, “Sonny Boy Sauce” or “Put on the Blitz Sauce”, I guess it’s a lot harder than I thought to come up with a catchy name, It’s harder than namming your kid. Thanks so much for the kind words Uncle Big! After some research and discussions with our attorney we all agreed the best thing to do would be to change the name. BUT on the bright side after seeing how many “Smokin Chipotle” sauces were out there, or any type of version there of, we get to do something fun in the chile head community and still have a completely UNIQUE name for our BBQ sauce. So once again THT has turned something from a negative situation to a positive one.

Ok Tennesee update……….Bret just called and the gang is a gathering!!! They’ve had surprise turnouts by BLANE, yes all, helmets in hand and the very sweet Jim Campbell! Cajohn and crew even managed to get Jim to stay up past his 10 o’clock curfew last night! He made it till 1:30am and for those of you who have been out with Jim, you know thats a rarity! GO JIM!!

You never learn do you? If this stuff cost you $150, then you’ve made $15 profit. Good for you and your ability to make money off of charity. I’m sure Jim will appreciate the whole $165 (minus cost of ebay listing). Just too bad you’re too greedy to give it all.

I think BigShow has it there with the “Smolderin’ Chipotle”. Goes with the rest of your theme and seems like a nice fit Might also try “Sensual”.
