We have a winner!
Congrats to Jeff for knowing that what some thought to be kiwi and/or conch meat was indeed real wasabi rhizome.

It also looks like a jerusalem artichoke, or “sunchoke”

It is clearly the droppings from now-extinct marsupial known as the kokowa-nupay. You can tell by the black protien lines running vertically through the sample. The seeds are from it’s favorite digestible, kiwi fruit. The poor animal has been extinct now for around 20-24 days. Nick Lindauer must be a fantastic collector of this sort of thing as well as hot sauces.

Ummm…Not quite but my grandmother did once give me a moose turd as a gift. Don’t think I still have that though, what a shame

Dangit, I thought maybe you’d name the .jpg image. Nope, no hints there. It looks like some pickled vegetable. Specifically, a green pickled vegetable.

Biggles

One step ahead of you on that one Biggles, cause I know that’s the first thing I would have checked too!

Well, I know I’m late, but I thought it was fried green tomaters.

Interesting that the contests are run using the comments system - when I posted my answer, the first comment was the one from Mark Dobson that is now #2, and Ron Levi and gjehle’s comments did not exist! Weird.

Winning answers were held until the end of the day, to see what people can come up with.
