Defcon HQ has once again been called to arms! Our point of attack this time around is Toro Loco Restaurant in South Orange, NJ. This is going to be a rather large venue, so if you haven’t been to one of these gigs, this would be one to christen yourself at. Curt, a very good friend of mine runs the place, and this event is sort of a kickoff to get our wings and sauces onto his menu. He just redid the inside of the place, and it came out great! Besides their very good Mexican food, we will be serving up FREE Defcon wings, and raffling off a bunch of stuff, including Defcon Actionwear and sauce packs!

Besides drink specials, Curt is also working on getting the Jose Cuervo girls to attend, of course with their infamous tequila shooters, and we are also planning with the NJ Devils to have the mascot on hand (perhaps the ref for the ensuing “Deathmatch”). Like I said, this one’s gonna be BIG! There will be a number of wing-eating contests, and I just might have a bottle of “Deathmatch” sauce on hand if someone feels like enduring excruciatingly painful bliss in an attempt to gain the “Deathmatch” title. As usual, I’ll have my private stash of ZERO to sample, and you’ll be able to purchase our products without paying shipping costs. If all goes according to plan, we may even have a truckload of our newest product, the Habby Horse (Habanero horseradish) available for the masses! Yeah, we’ve got our fingers crossed!

The place is located 1 block from the South Orange train station (Morris/Essex line, and it’s a Midtown Direct stop as well), and is right across the street from Cryan’s Beef & Ale House on the corner of Valley St and First St.

There will be second round NFL playoff games on all day, so what better to go with football than beer and the best damn wings in the country? If you answered nothing, you are correct!

We will be doing another large venue Defcon Day on January 27th in Westboro, MA, stay tuned for details. Our area of coverage for these events will be drastically expanding in 2007, including, but not limited to NJ, NY, MA, MI, PA, DE, MD and Toronto. So be on the lookout, the Defcon Trailer may be rolling into your town under cover of darkness when you least expected it.
