Are you a collector looking for a certain bottle? Do you have a collectible bottle you’re looking to sell? Have anything else that may be of interest to hot sauce collectors in general? If so, drop the HSB a note here and we’ll post it in the Hot Sauce Collector’s Corner. If you have a bottle to sell or trade, send us a note as well and we’ll see what we can find for you.

Looking for…

Blair’s 24k Skull?
Looking for a Blair’s signature death sauce skull dipped in 24 kt gold with display case. Seen some 6 AM’s that come with them, I wasn’t so lucky. Leave a post here if you can help me out. Willing to give up my first born stepson…j/k ~ Ryan

Blair’s Caldera
I am seeking a Blair’s Caldera, with the number not really mattering whether is 49 or 499. I have a limited amt. of cash, but will consider trading my Dave’s Private Reserve for 1995 and/or 1996 for it as part of the deal. ~ Joe

Blair’s Beyond Death – 1993
If you have a bottle of Blair’s Beyond Death (circa 1993 – seen here) that your willing to part with, we’ve got a collector that’s looking to add this prized bottle to his collection. Leave a comment and we’ll put you in touch.

Selling & Available…

OK, here we go. I dont want to sell these but I have to. I dont want to put these on ebay. I would rater have someone that will keep these in there collection rather than sell them for profit. You guys are my first choice to sell these sauces. 1st sauce I need to sell is my Blair’s #67 of 73 Limited Mega Death sauce. #2 sauce im selling is my #642 4am sauce. I might be possibly selling more but just these two for now. I guess I could part with the 4am for 375 bucks and 575 bucks for the Mega Death. OBO on both. If any one is interested let me know ~ Scott

**Remeber the 4AM #642 is one of the documented duplicates from Blair, seen here.

General…

Original Tabanero Label
Not yet a true collector’s item, but the Tabanero hot sauces are no longer being printed with labels that reference the “Tabasco” name. If you have a unopened original labled bottle, keep it that way. Details here.

Reminder – please send your requests for collector’s items and/or for sale notices using the contact form. Leave a comment if you have a bottle that some is looking for (or you could use the form as well) and we’ll put you in touch.

Funny, I have one right now on my monitor at work. Never thought it was really worth anything. I don’t think I could sell it though.

hehehehe – I have one, in the case signed. Won’t give it up though – sorry. I’m looking for a Beyond Death as well. I saw on ebay some lad had an experimental run from Blair that he got at a show near Albany. I’d like to get a hold of that too.

Scott I don’t know some fellow was selling this thing on Ebay about three or four months ago. He said it was an “experimental” bottle that he bought a long time ago. Blair signed it. I was kind of suspect about it but Blir said that in fact he was at some show up there. By the time I went back the auction was over (Sh$t!). So if there’s sombody out there that got this – I’m interested!. BTW HR2005 came today – number 9 of 99. Blair is Fu$%ing Awsome! Thank You Blair!!!!! That made my Christmas. Oh I was on about my signed gold skull, will not part with that or my pre productin Sexabi set (all three bottles) #35 of 35 (sorry I like to brag a bit about my collection – everyone else I know hasn’t a clue what i’m on about). I have to build a bigger shrine now (display case)

AAHHHH!!! I know what it was MAD. I e-mailed Blair about the same LITTLE bottle. Told be it was some experimental project he was doing. I cant remember what he called it. Think it was called “the pre am series”. Here is a link to the pic and one of the guys that owns one.

I am looking for a 3 AM. A numbered one, to replace one I opened due to finding that the wax was cracked and thought was ruined. It does make a good chili though, that’s for sure. The bottle I have is #8220, anything near that would put things right, but I ain’t picky. The 2 AM I got at the same time is looking a little out of place since the 3 got moved to the fridge. I have an extra Le Million that I would be willing to part with if anyone is interested.

DK-Drop me an e-mail, ryanhugh@hotmail.com I recently went through the same heartache you are going through. I got mine replaced at a more than reasonable price. I’ll let you know where I got mine. They probably still have some numbered ones left.

The person with the 2005 Holiday reserve on eBay stole my description word for word from my b-99 reserve I sold there last week :
Link.

I e-mailed them and explained the situation nicely to them that eBay doesn’t allow that. Hopefully they will do the right thing and give me credit.

Comment #30:
Comment by Randy (590) - 12/27/2005 @ 11:03 am |

Tommy…I had the same problem several months ago, only he was using my photo. First of all if another seller wants to use any part of my auction, he/she better ask for permission. If I know that I won’t be running like items in the future, then most likely I’d have no problems with it. This guy was running not one but multible auctions with my pic. My polite request to cease was met with anger. His way of calling it his own was to slightly crop the border. His second defense was to attack my integrity and that of my auctions. At that point, it gave me great pleasure to report his sorry gluteus maximus to eBay. Within hours eBay ended every auction. He relisted but with his own photo. I LOVE IT!

Hey MAD, you are outbiddiing me so far on the Holiday Reserve. :(

Comment #32:
Comment by Nick Lindauer (1016) - 12/27/2005 @ 11:16 am |

All – For the most part sellers are pretty willing to change their auctions if you send them a nice request, but in the cases where they won’t, then you can enroll in the eBay VERO program – after you enroll, you simply have to fax a claim to eBay with the offending auction #’s and they will investigate and remove the copycat auctions if your claim is valid.

Holy Sh&t You know what I hate this site! Are you kidding? 2 rare Blair’s on ebay at the same time. My wife is running to call the lawyer. Just Kidding but this is unreal! I’m ready to explode. Serriously though, I just wanted to throw out a big plug for John & Maggie (and of course “The Creator” from Defcon Sauces. They’re going to be at St. James Gate in Maplewood NJ on January 22 1-6pm. Hot Sauce at an Irish place, it dosn’t get better. These people are really nice and are true chilliheads. I’m now a big fan. BTW Nick just kidding – this site rocks, just making me broke(er)

What is going on with this one on ebay??? Blair’s 2005 Halloween Reserve – #18/299 !!! Heatrambo bought this from crunchtime89 already back on 12-21-05 and they have both left positive feedback for each other for the transaction. Here was the auction:
Link.
Now crunchtime89 has the same bottle up for sale again??? Something is a little fishy here!

Comment #49:
Comment by ryan (2609) - 12/30/2005 @ 11:28 am |

Holy hot sauce Batman! The only explanation I can think of is if heatrambo anc crunchtime agreed not to go through with the transaction for one reason or another. If nobody has already done so, I’ll send an e-mail to crunchtime and see what’s up…I love these hot sauce impossible missions :-P

There are at least 3, maybe 4, listings for 2005 Holiday reserves on eBay right now. Seems like you might be able to pick & choose a pretty good deal right now.

Comment #52:

Ok, here’s the response to what’s going on with the #18 Halloween reserve:

good catch! yes, i did sell this one to heatrambo. and then i bought it
back from him outside ebay shortly afterwards, before even sending it. please
feel free to contact him and I guarantee you he will verify my story. and
in case you are wondering, i do not know or had ever met this person before
the sale. this was totally out of the blue…

Yeah this is an old post but I figured I should let everyone know that There was a deal on this bottle but I let him off the hook because I knew he did not really want to let it go for that price. I only wanted it if he was happy to let it go. There is a long detailed story to how I knew, but suffice it to say he did not get the price he wanted. So I let him off the hook and technically sold it back to him at the same price.
