Has anyone else heard of this festival? I think it’s too small to be on anyone’s radar, but maybe some people in the circuit are aware of it.
Start filling bags with tongue-cooling ice. The 3rd Annual Hot Sauce Event and Chili Cook-Off is coming up.
On Nov. 12 you can tingle your tongue with free samples of hot sauces, pickles, pepper jelly and more. Then watch chili cooks do their thing. The Pepper Plant Man will have plants for sale and there will be games for kids. It’s from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at South Combee Road and Industrial Park Drive, across from Crystal Lake Plaza in Lakeland. 665-9041 for information.
