I met CaJohn quite a while back at one of his first fiery food shows back when they were still having it in St Pete, FL. “I am sure he doesn’t remember me”. I think he just purchased a co-packing facility in Ohio. Even back then he seemed like a man on a mission. Glad to see him prospering. Hey Jim and Fat Kid,
Didn’t mean to imply that I was any kind of barometer for deciding quality sauces or that my sauce is the only good one out there. I probably could have worded that phrase better “not the best writer” Fat Kid and Jim are correct I have been out of the hot sauce loop for a while and not familiar with most folks in the biz. Back in the day I used to own Roberto’s Hot Sauce “Won a 2004 scovie for HotAcado” and wound up selling the company. Back then seems like there was a whole different batch of folks in the industry and I still kept a pretty low profile.
I just recently started Scorpion Bay when some old Roberto’s fans said they would back me if I were to start a new company. I see Fat Kid sauces won some awards and a scovie I am sure you make a great sauce! So hope I didn’t offend anyone out there. Hopefully I will get better at this PR stuff and won’t get so hammered in the comment sections.
