To the anonymous owner: Being that you are a collector and have the funds to aquire 4 of these highly prized items, surely there must be specific things you are looking for that you would consider trading for the treasures featured above. Thanks Ryan, I still feel bad. At least we havn’t seen any on ebay (yet). It’s just that Blair does these special reserves for people like us - die hard chiliheads. We don’t collect for profit. We just do it because we’re……nuts???? I’m not knocking Mr. A’s (I really can’t spell) hustle. Could be a great way to trade and get some really good pieces. I just feel bad because a few people reached out to me and I really tried to get those people a N59. Hell, with the way that went I almost didn’t get one myself. That would’ve sucked big time

I think its admirable that Mr. A is not selling them, but willing to trade. That’s how some of us get the sauces we have and its not making a profit. Rock on Mr. A!

Quite the contrary, I can’t live without coffee, and still buy Starbucks (though there is no way in HELL I would ever work there again), but had I not, I never would have got bit by the collecting bug. Thanks for the compliment Mad, I appreciate it very much.

It’s the nature of the beast Ryan. In all areas of collecting it comes down to one or the other…how badly or reluntant the seller wants to sell or how badly the buyer want it. As much as it hurts, he holds the cards in this game.

Well there was no rule of only one each best of my knowledge. I know a dealer that Blair him self sold 6 to at the show. The person in the pic might be a dealer and decided not to make a profit but to better his own personal collection. One never knows!

Hey pmac, the only info that I have to go on is this comment by Nick and Mad. I’m not trying to imply that Mr. A did anything wrong, it just seemed that Paul is wanting to get rid of his collection because he is upset. I hate to see anybody sell out because they are angry about something. Especially collecting hot sauce!!

yeah i agree, however. I am sticking up for Blair this time when I say this, to try to put this into prespective. Blair is a creator that has allot of RESELLERS he is a main guy not a garden variety store. However we can all enjoy ordering from him if we wish, but he has some MAJOY buyers out there and sometimes… not always…but sometimes he needs to take care of them. Period. So I think that the last 2 reserves these resellers got overlooked. This time they were sitting right beside him and he would (as any normal man would) feel some sort of obligation to make them happy if they asked him for extra bottles. This is fair and so some who could not make it to the show have to pay retail, this is not a big deal, except that some cannot afford the aftermarket prices. But looking at it that way, we would all own our favourit car if there was never any mark up on the cost of metal.
There will be some that have other positions on them and I already know what they would be. But business is buisiness. Friends are friends, and … who are we in the end. Lucky to get something that only has 99 in the world. or less.

Paul, did you attend the Fiery Foods show? Perhaps Mr. A did, and spent a good chunk of change to acquire them. Had you been there, would you not have done the same thing if able to? This question is somewhat rhetorical, as nearly everyone here would have. At least he is trading, not selling, so he is spreading the wealth, not cashing in. To dispose of your entire collection because an individual has something you want is a little imprudent, wouldn’t you say?

YES> I absolutly would have offered a good chunk of change. I was merely stating what I have been told from a horses mouth. However if i could not get a n59 I would not give it all up but enjoy those that i have and save to aquire one down the road I would have dropped a WAD to get ‘um But I was unable to attend. However perhaps next year when I am more financially stable. New job takin/took its toll last year. Love to meet some of ya out there

I have been on hsb for a long time now and never really jumped into any comments, My blair’s collection has 24 reserves I had everything exept the 4am which I have been searching for at least 2 years. and I was able to live with that but now It seems I dont have a 4am and now a n-59 which was not offered and I feel I will never get. and now the 10 bottle cutting room floor is out of the question, so yes I feel very discoureged about a collection I will never be able to complete. that is why It has crossed my mind about selling all bottles.

Paul, be proud of what you have. it is more than most have.
When I started collecting hot sauce about 10 yrs ago, I wanted to own every bottle out there. Of course I did not know there were thousands. So, I guess I wont own them all. I pick and choose and sometimes I sell, or trade. You have to keep it under control somehow. As for the limited bottles lately, I dont know what to tell you. it sucks, YES, but we cant change it. Seems like all of this only really came out with the super limited bottles lately.
If you really want out, sell your collection. If you are just upset, then selling isnt really what you want to do. (I may hear about this since there are plenty of people on hear waiting to buy up your bottles :-)!) Hang tight and enjoy what you own. Remember, there are no rules to this, only what you believe. A collection is a collection. As for complete, can it ever really be?

Seems a bit defeatest, but to each his own. Perhaps you could trade with Mr. A for something he needs that you have (or maybe have a double of). Just a thought, but go get rid of everything because someone had a good barter item is jumping the gun a bit. As I stated, if you had gone to the show, you would have done the same thing Mr. A has done, as would 99.9% of the people on this site.
