While loading a 1200 case order for a distributor Blair’s shipping dept got a little too heavy on the reverse pedal and backed Blair’s 6000lb Fork lift into a pallet of 300 cases of Freshly Made Sauce! Fortunately, no sauces were harmed.
Blair was kind enough to send this “Embarrising Moment” Over to HSB….

Oops? More like “Oh Crap!” Imagine if that was the next reserve shipment. That would be a “Holy Crap Crap” moment to put it lightly.
Now this should be a “Caption This” thread.
“Dude, I told ya playing Jenga with the boxes was a bad idea!”
That would be ‘former fork truck driver’ ![]()
Death of a sauce ![]()
Hey Nick, I know this is off-tpoic, but where is the preview scareen?
Its tough to use a quote because you are not sure its the right one anymore ![]()
See, I cant even see my mis-spelled words
The operator’s got to be careful with that liquid gold! It simply wouldn’t do to leave an eagar batch of chiliheads wanting for a Blair’s fix.

Nick said last night he has had to remove for now. It wasn’t working with the new paging he put up last night (any thread with 100+ posts will now page every 100 posts).
I wonder how much sauce was damaged. It actaully doesn’t look to bad!

Crap! Good thing no sauces were harmed.
I guess I won’t be getting a call from Blair on a little bit of damage product forsale.
Does anyone know when the scratch & dent sale is!?!
Do I hear a DOHHHH!

Oh no! Daniel do you need a place to crash? I had a buddy ask me that once and he stayed for 9 months
Boss, the sauce, the sauce!!!! OOOPS!! Can anyone say hot sauce abuse.
Look- that’s not what I meant when I said you should cleanse your pallet.
WOW imagine if that was a pallet of some brand new limited reserves.
Hey Kristi and Lisa, does that pic remind you of anything?

Yea, I am so confused right now. I know it doesn’t ake much to confuse me, but please play nice with the Tamale and fix the order. ![]()

Or Blair can sell it as a new sauce that survived the crash. Just sign it, number it and date it. There you go - a new collectable!

I like that 1!! Think how many bottles though. It’s taking me a while to catch up - its unusual having to read upwards
I had a heart attack when I first saw this as I’m waiting on a shipment from Blair’s - obviously not that much though- or anywhere near it. lol
Looks like an exact pic of the Three Hot Tamales adventure this weekend in Vermont… lol

My thoughts exactly Lisa!
I know one thing that picture helps show how much sauce and the like that Blair produces!
At least it proves how well they pack their sauces - no fatalities with the bottles
Could you imagine if all the boxes said “cutting room floor”
Anyone catch the big sale of Original Death and Sudden Death? haha I don’t think they are related but if the distributor didn’t want the dropped goods maybe he is letting them go at a low low price
Original death $3 and Sudden Death $5

Those are the ones that this skid fell on ![]()
Question: If they had all been broken, would it have melted the fork lift?
A goof up at work is bad enough…but screwing up AND having it posted on the blog..Oh boy!!
eman, where was CC during this tragedy?
K you guys gotta see how I stuck hot sauce blog dot com in my items on eBay
hehe gotta promote it LOL Just do a search for CaJohns.
I know its off topic, but I thought it was cute in second description ![]()

very tricky! I like it though
First….I sent the photo to Nick Because I was so amazed that on a pallet with 315 cases or 3780 bottles and a 6000 pound Forklift NOT even 1 single bottle was scratched..each and every case down to each and every bottle was examined I just could not imagine not even a cap broke…(Talk about good Karma)…..On another note……If The Boxes had been the Cutting Room Floor(As noted above) A certain someone could perhaps have been hanging from his toenails now. All My best…… FEEL ALIVE BLAIR
That is pretty amazing that nothing on the whole pallet was harmed. I have worked in wherehouses before and they break stuff all the time that never even falls off the pallet! Good Karma indeed
” A certain someone could perhaps have been hanging from his toenails now.” Hahahahaha
Now I assume we are talking gettoh punishment to the employee that messed up LOL

I think that certain someone would have been doing MORE than hanging by his toenails!!!!

Blair, could I get you to teach my staff on having”gentle” mishaps?

And to think I had my whole Hot Sauce shelf crash on me and the only bottle that broke was a unopened Blair’s MegaDeath. I managed to save most of the sauce in a container and picked out the shards of glass. Everytime I eat the sauce now I have to be aware of the delicious pain of heat and flavour as well as the agonizing pain of glass. This happened at Christmas - what did I do Santa?!?!?!
EMAN Check your EMAIL i have been trying for 20 minutes you gotta give me your phone for stuff like this.
Not sure if anyone has noticed it but Blair has an original death sauce 10oz signed and numbered on his webpage up for sale. I should get one but I gotta watch the funds ![]()
Only 22 available!

OK I lied! I just thought my collection needed something rare! haha I cannot wait now cause I got a big order coming in from Blair hopefully sooner rather than later!
aaron, there are 2 n59 on the bay if you want rare ![]()
That is very true! ha! Who knows what might happen
Payday is only a few days away for me. I gotta watch this addiction. Bills first I tell myself
I assume Blair’s site is an active inventory site. Hoping this is the case I should be getting one but I will call tomorrow and make sure cause I have another questions or two
no it is not, unless he fixed it after the Holiday ‘05 issue!

No no no, I just work in a 40k sq ft warehouse ( a distributor/fulfillment company) , just wondering how big his was.
Somebody got lucky on that one with NO bottles of sauce getting hurt!!! Bet that driver couldn’t do that again if he tried…
I’d be more willing to bet he doesn’t get anymore chances
Daniel- never heard from you on the spicefor poorcollegestudents.
