Review: Big Dawg Drooling Mustard Sauce

Big Dawg Drooling Mustard Sauce

A great spicy mix of Jalapeno Peppers, Chipotle Peppers, and Fresh Squeezed Lime. A must for all the "Mustardholics" in the world. You will never view mustard the same.

Great on sausage, toasted sandwiches, and your favorite greasy burger. Awesome for kicking up potato salad and deviled eggs. Use as a marinade or slather sauce for grilling. Napkin Required!

Ingredients: Mustard (distilled vinegar, water, no. 1 grade mustard seed, salt, turmeric, paprika, spice, natural flavor, garlic powder), Jalapeno Peppers, Fresh Squeezed Lime, Natural Smoke Flavor, Chipotle Pepper Flakes, Apple Cider Vinegar, Garlic Powder, Sea Salt, Onion Powder, Brown Sugar and other spices.

As a part of my guilty pleasure celebration on Friday, I enjoyed a burger (go figure) but what made this burger stand out was the addition of Big Dawg’s Drooling Mustard Sauce. Having had successful endeavors with Big Dawg’s Slobber Sauce, CPR Habanero Lime and Kickin’ Hot Apple Surprise I knew that Big Dawg’s Drooling Mustard would live up to it’s “drooling” name.

Big Dawg Drooling Mustard Sauce

Drooling Mustard Sauce comes in a large 12oz. bottle (common with BBQ & Wing Sauces) and unlike a lot of mustards, this is a mustard sauce and it pours out of the bottle with a nice even consistency. On the burger you can see the jalapeno chunks and chipotle pepper flakes within the mustard, giving the mustard it’s extra kick. Smell wise, it’s all mustard with just about nothing else that your nose will be able to pick up or distinguish.

Big Dawg Drooling Mustard Sauce

On burgers, this mustard sauce really shined - but I have a feeling it would shine on anything you put it on. I slathered the sauce on top of the burger and still found myself adding more for each bite. It’s mustard through and through, but this mustard packs a follow up pepper punch followed by the cooling flavor of the fresh squeezed lime juice.

Now, I love most mustards just like I love most hot sauces, but after tasting Big Dawg’s Drooling Mustard Sauce it’s safe to say that a new bar has been set on my taste buds for all other mustards that follow. Keeping with the same great flavor of Slobber Sauce, Drooling Mustard packs a little bit of heat with a lot of mustard flavor.

Bottom line: If you like mustard, you’ll love this sauce - so don’t delay and get yourself a bottle today! A 12oz. bottle will only set you back $4.95 plus shipping - but frankly, you may just want to buy the 12-pack for $49.95.
