Review: Blue’s BBQ Habanero Reserve Hot Sauce

Blue's BBQ Habanero Reserce Hot SauceBlue's BBQ Habanero Reserce Hot Sauce

Ingredients: Lemon Juice, Cider Vinegar, Fresh Red Savina(tm) Habanero Peppers, Tomato, Cayenne Pepper, Chili Pepper, Black Pepper, Sugar, Salt, Garlic, Xanthan Gum.

Nick originally reviewed this sauce back in May. I received it recently so I thought I would give my spin on it.

We went out to Bishop and the Belcher for Mexican night and I put this sauce in my pocket to take along. As has been said before this bottle definitely has appeal right from the get go with its very well done graphics and labeling.

Moving right on to the taste the dept. This sauce is top notch. It poured and blended right into the fajita like a…….(insert analogy). I went through a good portion of the bottle before I actually noticed the heat. But what was apparent right from the start was the taste. I tried one bite with and one without the sauce and I have to say that this made a good meal into a great meal. There was just enough tangyness from the vinegar and lemon to take notice but at no point overwhelm. It followed up with a very mellow warm glow that was carried by the tomatoes. A little after the heat arrived that I was would say best was “comfortable”.

At first I was concerned about how runny this was. But its consistency although watery, never got messy and it clung to the food nicely.

Since that meal, I have tried on everything from wings to pizza and it has consistently been very good. This is one sauce to make some extra room in the fridge for and get two at a time.

Great Stuff!

I too loved this hot sauce. I took it out with me to Logan’s Roudhouse and it went really well with the chicken I ordered. In fact I started to dunk my broccoli in it. It is a nice cross between thin bbq sauce and hot sauce. It has a little too much sugar for me, but I can over look that from time to time.

An absolutely awesome sauce. This sauce has excelled on everything I have put it on. Definately in my top 10, probably even Top 5. Thanks!!
