Dunk's Crazy Thang Hot Sauce Dunk's Crazy Thang Hot Sauce

Ingredients: Water, Vinegar, Habanero peppers, Jalapeno peppers, Tomato Paste, Onion Powder, Sugar, Salt, Garlic, Lemon Juice, White Pepper, Xanthan Gum

This is one of those sauces that is almost there. Its just passed mediocre and far from great. Basically I can say it is good. It is what it is. A no nonsense sauce that is unremarkable in all aspects but it won’t let you down in a pinch.

It’s got heat. It has a vinegar tang, and the overall taste of garlic, onions and peppers does give it some substance. But not much.

I think the downfall of this sauce is its viscosity. The stuff is extremely watery. You can see full on the seeds, pepper flesh, and random other particles, but the overall taste seems to get washed away on the pour. I gave this sauce a good go at some wings and as you can see it was a pretty futile attempt to get the sauce to stick. What I was able to grab up showed a sauce that had a bit of character but nothing to memorable. It was funny cause once I opened this up and passed it around to my friend to smell as well as the waitress, the initial aroma brought on oooh and aahh’s. This seemed to be quite promising.

In no way is this a bad sauce, nor a great sauce. One that will ultimately get lost in the mix among all the others on the shelf.
