Adam Thanks for the nice review. Glad you liked the sauce. We'll look into that bitterness thing -but there are no bell peppers in the sauce. Don't like Bell Peppers - no heat, yucky flavor

Were with ya on that one Biggles but we were thinking more on the lines of Texas if it come to it. The thing about SoCal is that you get such a broad mixture of food influences because it’s such a melting pot here.

I think the difference between N and S CA is the facct that one of them has water and weather warm enough to go swimming at the beach.
And one of them doesn't allow wood fired grills or smokers, which is why I don't live in the other one. I figure sometime soon I won't be able to grill or smoke meat here either, surely.
Time to move to AZ or New Zealand.

Where do you draw the line?
Maps do it below Monterey a ways.
I think you need a hug.

The hottest I have tried was @ 2,000,000 scoville. and it was just on the tip of a toothpick. Boy did it ever affect me. I think I want to try 3,000,000.

Nice shootin' there Tex! Love the tomatillo, roasted or otherwise.
Gots a friend who grew up in Guatemala and he gave me the idear of using pumpkin seeds in sauces. I think us Californians just stole the idea, a good one too.
Northern California has some very nice pepper farms too, in the Sonoma Valley I believe. Same area as the fancy wines. The dirt is crazy nice for growing things. I'm not there, we grow weeds and thistles here.
