Looks like a pretty good burger as well. I like the last picture cause you can see the sauce coming on out! I will be getting the whole set of 3 Hot Tamale stuff at some point and this sounds like a good one.

Company cookout today. Had grilled burgers AND steaks. I took a bottle of this along with me and it’s practically gone. I have enough for leftovers. A reorder of the Steak Sauce and Crybaby is just about due. More than one bottle of each this go around, that’s for sure.

Its look more like a burger and less like a sauce but still appealing. I m a garlic lover so its a treat for me and u managed to taste it three times. Lucky u!!! Will try out some other day.Can be eaten not only with burger but bread also or just like that. Yummy!!!!

Finally had the chance to try this at a BBQ last weekend. It was fantastic. Everyone LOVED it. GReat job with this one.

welll…… hair color needs oxygen to oxidize, unless its a specialty color, thats why i asked about the sealed container, if color is properly sealed it will stay good for an undisclosed amount of time.

Yea, that’s what made me think of it. Plus it’s a girlie color.

There are all sorts of things one can do, I don’t like using food coloring, we used it in Irish Scream for a while. We don’t use it in anything of ours now. Just would be an easy way to get pink…

Is there anyway to add a red color to the frostbite mixture without disrupting the balance or integrity of the sauce, I am asking about frostbite because it’s white (whitish) and if you add red to white theory has it you’ll get pink.

We will be making it (sort of) on camera on “Unwrapped” which will air sometime in June/July, we wouldn’t even let them see us mix up the “additive” but it looks really cool when we pour it into the kettle…

Opaque is a good way to go, is there a way to get a lighter red than the savina? I was just looking at the sauces we have out there and the savina is the lightest one I can find.

Several options ma’am. Tumeric if you want yellow. Beet powder if you want red. Neither add much flavor in the quantities you’d be using. Anatto is another & good ol’ food coloring will solve any other wish that you have.

I got all that and Jim thank you for the info, but it doesn’t look like we can get pink unless we use food coloring. I tried looking for a website or other info on color, but it got me nowhere….

Try experimenting with just a ‘bit’ of beet powder. If you start with a white sauce, it should be pretty easy to get pink from there. Food coloring isn’t a bad option- there are a LOT of VERY popular suaces out there that use it & no one seems to mind. Heck- one of the most popular ones uses BOTH artificial coloring AND preservatives. I think the reluctance to use them is more in the minds of the manufacturers as to a perceived market demand rather than a real one.

I have to go with Jim on this one. Rasberries and chipotles are a classic combo down here in Texas. They are fantastic together on pork and many other dishes.

Thankfully there are many great choices out there for all of our individual tastes.

I am very serious about doing it CaJohn, everything about this business fascinates me, I was telling people about it in Training today, they are really excited about it and came up with Ideas for how to get the color too. they suggested the color of blackberry juice, it’s a fuschia color that looks just like a really bad goof on blonde hair (ha ha Kristi ) they also said use food coloring as a color enhancer if we need it a little more pink but use it as a last resort. funny you should mention pomagranets they suggested that too. anyway just my thoughts….. to be a partner do I have to sign in blood?

Had to step off for a bit, WW called from down South. The beet powder will make the color just fine. We just have to play with it until we get it right.
