LOL. I’ve just learned over the years that marriage is all about give and take. In this case, I’ll be giving 3 small football display cases and TAKING 1 big curio cabinet. Thanks Adam, congrats to you as well. My wife and I are currently looking for some king of diplay case for my sauces (and helmet). She collects metal purses with various stones bezel set into them. They’re actually pretty cool. I’m giving up my plexiglass display cases so she can put her purses in those.

Ryan - Great collection and congrats on your victory! My gal has a really nice curio cabnet that I am trying to steal, but it is currently occupied by her collectable Barbies! It seems like an easy decision here - but I guess I have to respect her collectables too!

I submitted the pumpkin long after I sent in my entry. It was when I received my B-99. I sent Blair a thank you e-mail and later sent the “just for shits and giggles” part with the pumpkin pics. I never intended for those to be a part of my entry, but Blair put it there anyway. Same thing with the helmet pic. I made that for the HSB and Blair posted on here a request for me to send him a copy of that pic. I couldn’t tell you for sure why I won, but I guess Blair had his reasons. I don’t think my stuff was any better than anyone else’s, we all had great stories, great collections, and are just good people doing what we love. Even Blair himself said he had to choose 10 from a pool of winners (meaning all 371). It must have been a real hard decision, one I would not like to have to make.

Yeah I think the pink helmet put you over the top! I like you adding the pumpkin to the story and all adds a little personal touch and that couldnt have hurt in the contest!
