If you want a great Salsa and one that will be nuclear on the heat scale I recommend Monty's Party Picante Sauce XXX Hot. Tastes great and it will blow the top of your head off. If you want something milder but still respectable in the heat department; Monty's Party Picante Sauce Chipotle will do you a treat!

I've enjoyed a few salsas made by DL Jardines. Some of them are pretty hot and are full of flavor. The blue crab salsa we bought a while back (I'm not sure of the name) was a winner as well. I've been enjoying salsa as long as I can remember, starting out at mexican restaurants, and I have tried quite a few kinds. Most of them were brands you can buy in the grocery store, but I did get a preference as far as thickness was concerned. I like chunky salsas as long as the juice (for lack of a better word) that is in with the chunks isnt watery. I like there to be a little bit of thickness with the non-chunky part of the salsa. I also enjoy the salsas that are like really thick sauce with not large chunks. These are good because you can just dip your chip in and some salsa will stick to your chip, eliminating the need to fight for your favorite chunks. I think when I was 16 or 17 lived off of chips, salsa, and beer for a summer.
