Holy Hot Sauce Batman!
Well, the 2007 Fiery Foods Show has come to an end and it’s time once again to pack up and head back home. A great time was had by all and there’s a lot of exciting news to report in the coming weeks. It was great to hang out with all the HSBers and I’m sure we’ve recruited more then a few more. Those that attended the show, please send me your pictures and I’ll add them to the 2007 Fiery Foods Show picture vault on Flickr. A big thank you to all the manufacturers that welcomed all the HSBers into the family and thank you for all the sauces! I’ll be following up with everyone regarding the Hot Sauce Book, product reviews, interviews, play by play pieces and much much more.
Thanks for the great show everyone!

What a show! Man it was great, I must of had a great time cause I feel like death warmed over today, back to reality and work this morning. I wish the show would have gone on forever. It was everything I expected! It was really great meeting all you guys (and Gals!) that I have gotten to know from here. Can’t wait for the next show!
Ed
That’s right, Ed- rub it in. Why don’t you give me a paper cut and pour that 5ml bottle of Batch #4 on it!
By the way, how did you little stogies go over? Were they any good?

We smoked the Cubans at the poker game, girls even had one each, WOW! they were amazing, by far the best cigar I have ever smoked!
I also got a chance to try the batch 4 Zero, truly an amazing experience…the heat builds so slow you get to savour the really good flavor for a few minutes before it wipes you out! After I tried it I met up with DK and Aaron and Blane and all I could do was just stand there with my mouth hanging open for a few minutes, I couldn’t even talk.
Creator you have done it again! And thats not even mentioning the Habby Horse, which was THE BEST item I tried at the show.
Ed
Sounds like a fantastic time was had by all.
I swear, I don’t care if I have to hitchhike- I gotta be there for the big 2-0. If it wasn’t for the fact that I’ll be going to Jersey in July (maybe NYC as well, Nick), I’d be really depressed right now.
Great stash Nick!
I just wanted to thank everyone from the HSB for making me feel welcome at my first show and letting me hang out with all of you. I had a total blast! More memorable moments were the Defcon ZERO tasting in the bar on Thursday night which caused undescribable pain, DK and his Swamp Honky BBQ sauce, selling raffle tickets for the THT’s in a drunken stupor, The NagaSagi Bomb, getting fashion advice from Tahiti Joe, my bar tab, and watching the Jersey Boyz work the room. Good times!
Nick, I’ll email you pictures tomorrow or the next day. As for the show..my god that was awesome! Thanks for the great time everyone, and thanks for the wedgie Danny Cash!
Ha!!! The wedgie incident… whoo!!!
Yeah, many thanks from Devil Duck HQ for the kind words and good advice I got from everyone. It was good to see the familiar faces and to meet some new amazing people.
If all goes well this year, look for a Devil Duck booth in ‘08!!!!

Hey, I sold quite a few tickets. The ladies couldn’t resist me!
We made it home! Great meeting everyone, looking forward to meeting the one who couldn’t make it at JJ’s in Aug or at Zestfest…bars stay open longer in Texas.
Wish it could have lasted longer, but looking forward to our own bed.
Daughter (Alexis who was at the show, remember cheap child labor)putting together a slide show to send Nick…hopefully post it soon!
Great seeing you man! We shouldn’t wait so long since we are local:)
Just got back (20 hour straight drive) & going to catch up on posts a bit here. What a *grind* of a trip back- getting way too old for this stuff
When I left the poker table, my wife was in her element: a cigar in her mouth, a cold beer in front of her, and a deck of cards
She won the ‘Lucky Devil’ award.
Official weight of hotsauce going hone this time—-86lbs!
Does not include the stuff being shipped here.

That Tahiti Joe was a trip! The ZERO tasting bar sure was fun. People were walking around with their mouths open that night OUCH Between the NagiSabi bomb and 10 sauce from CaJohn we can safely say the Naga Jolokia is a hot pepper no doubt!

That’s who I was referring too!! And I can see poor little Luke walking around while the hot sauce got a ride. I heard Luke’s car seat was tied on the roof rack on the way back, cause the back seat was full of sauce!

HAH This old man was out later than you every night! I don’t remember you sitting at the table with CaJohn, ChiliHeadEd, MSK and myself drinking Amirillo Mudslides until 4am.
Seriously though, you guys are a blast and it was great seeing you again. Mike and I are looking forward to coming out to Denver in the near future.
The Cash Boys and BLP are great, but it was CaJohn, Nick and MSK (and The Wife) hanging out till breakfast was being served in Texas!! I see a little pattern there….CaJohn and MSK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gee Nick, I hope you drove. Otherwise, you’ll need another day to pack the stuff.
Makes me kind of wish I was a corrupt baggage handler.
