Eh… I know it’s supposed to be timely and funny, but I prefer my labels timeless and classy. No thanks…

I know it’s something that is meant to be harmless, but I don’t see the point in holding onto these issues. In doing so, we accomplish the acceptance of the media in covering something to the 10th degree. For example, they went way too far in showing us that lunatics face from the Virginia Tech Massacre. They made him what he wanted to be. No need for it.

While this isnt nearly the same issue, the issue is going to be remembered for racism and not free speech. Why hold onto that?

Just one! :D And it was a gift… But you’re right, it’s not classy. And it’s not my favorite label… It sits in the back corner so most people don’t see it.

Is there a best and worst labels thread in the forums yet? If there isn’t, there should be… Sounds like this label could start the “worst” list.

1st thought, bad taste (label, not sauce)

2nd thought, I wouldnt buy it

But, it’ll get publicity (although negative) and therefore probably sell. Not for the sauce, but for the “gimmick - type” label. It depends on how “mainstream” this bottle goes. I can see alot of people not into hot sauce buying it for the controversy factor. So the question is, will selling this actually cause negative “feelings” toward the manufacturer, and people to not buy the other sauces? Probably not.

“and people to not buy the other sauces?”

Why? I just don’t see the point. This is neither cute nor funny. This is nothing more than a tasteless and unoriginal attempt at capitalizing on current events and pop culture. I hope the NAACP doesn’t see this.

I don’t know guys. We’re just a bunch of honkys. Are there any bruthas on this blog for some input? Know your customer, right? Maybe TJ is going for the Nappy Head Ho Lovers community.

But I definitely agree, I don’t like the purple at all.

Wow, well ok then.

Suddenly I feel the need to put out a bottle with Alec Baldwin yelling profanity’s to his daughter on my next label!!!

Sorry, I just don’t get it.

I can fix this **Cracks Nuckles**

1. replace the purple with Rutgers scarlet
2. replace “Shadow figure” with a cartoon of Imus with messy hair
3. Donate 50% of sales to the UNCF

turn a neg. into a positive

The political correctness thing has gone way overboard. This ho thing and things 100 times worse are mainstays of the rap music industry. Funny how Sharpton and Jackson can all the sudden find these words offensive and degrading ( they are and have been all along) and take issue. It has generated publicity for them (S & J) and got a nobody fired, but come on, Eminem, Snoop Dog and others get Grammys for saying this stuff. My rant over.
I do not like the label, would not buy it, but then again, I just sold Alec Baldwins loose screw on ebay. Go figure.

IMHO
Aj

AJ Loose screw covers everybody. But that label. Heck even your new label covers everybody. My family came to this Country and did the odd jobs that no one else wanted to do.

See you at the shows, Joe! Sir, your business decisions are *your* decisions and ultimately I respect that. I say make ‘em as you see fit, but be prepared for the chips to land where they will ;-)
