Just an observation. I am someone who, for the most part, just sits and reads the blog so as to become more educated and aware of what is going on in this new world I am so gratefully a part of. Seems awfully quiet here tonight. Do you think it’s because it’s Saturday night and everyone (but us here now) is out? Or do you think maybe it’s because people feel like they cannot freely speak to one another? I greatly appreciate Nick and all of his efforts to make this a professional and informative site. I for one feel like part of the “problem” in regards to the chattiness. I think for newbies such as myself, just trying to become part of the conversation is the first step in becoming fully aware of “hot sauce and all great things related to hot sauce”. My experience, so far at least, has been 1. develop a relationship through idle chit chat with fellow chiliheads on HSB 2. Feel comfortable enough with these new found friends to share/comment/ask questions I may have regarding anything to do with hot sauce. Would hate to see people put off just because they are not invoved with the specific topic at hand. I’m sure Nick will come up with a solution that we can all feel comfortable with. He is a true professional and has made this blog the success it is. Ok I’m done now.

Kristi, I think it is just slow tonight. I think everyone is catching up on their chores because of being on the blog so much.

Hey guys - what’s new around here? I just got home after working my second 16-hour day (my sous-chef was arrested and is in jail) in the kitchen and I haven’t been able to stop by the HSB! I know that I missed out on Defcon0 #2, but I’m just checking to see if I missed anything else. Thanks!

No, it was a DUI (drunk driving)! And he conveniently timed it with one of our busiest weekends of the year. Nice guy!

Sometimes it can be slow, so if you comment on something and it takes awhile for a response, no worries! Eventually people will start migrating back in..

Kristi, dont worry about chattiness.
Everyone is welcome to say what and how much they want to say. There is a majority of people here that enjoy all (most) that is posted here, and would hate to see that go away.
As for ‘ I for one feel like part of the “problem” in regards to the chattiness” dont feel that way, there are plenty of people who say much more (me) Besides, there is no problem, right???

I hear what your saying Tracy, I guess as a newcomer I’m just not sure of certain things and want to be more a part of the solution than the problem. From what I’ve read (on the blog), it seems a few people feel this way. It’s all good, it’s a great forum.

The only problem that I’m aware of , is that awful cat!!

Thanks Chris, I think it’s hard for us to know exactly where the line is between chattiness and “topic talk”. So many stories, experiences, lead to differant conversations. Just trying to figure it all out I spose’. It takes a big brain and thus head, to carry around this crown I wear! lol

Kristi, most of this will be sorted out soon anyway. Most of us (the top 8-9 in the left-hand column) all seem to like all the extra everyone puts here. Seems like Nick is going to do something with a general section so that all this “other” talk can remain in there and the posts can contain comments about that post.
