Now that the blog sauce labels have been sent out and are circulating the world, it’s time to track where they’ve been and where they are going. When the sauces arrive at your door, leave a comment here with the when and where and also leave the name of who is getting them next.

I got the load from Aaron, but i thought it was a lot longer ago than that, times fly when you are having fun :) I sent the batch back to Nick as requested the day after I received them. I assume he has them by now, although I have not seen (head) any confirmation.

I think that I might have that batch now. When you had these that I have now, I had the other set which are now back in the US

Dunno who all was in on the whole thing, but nNick sent them out in 2 seperate bunches. One to EU one to CDA getting the foreigners taken care of first. :)
Then i think he will be sending them out to the USA after they all have the EU and CDA signatues on them. only 2 in CDA i think. The labels had 4 signatures once I finnished them and sent back to Nick. only 2 were CDA the others were from the guys that made the labels i think. Dan@BLP and someone else I forget who (sorry). But I thnk his partner possibly.

It has been almost two months now since they were sent out and only two people have posted where they’ve arrived and where they are going next. I hope the packages are ok. I recently took part in a project that took just over a week to reach 4 people on opposite ends of the country…kinda makes me wonder

Well Aaron had them March 30th that was 22 days ago(Aaron was the first Canadian of 2 to get them), since then they have been to me then back to another country (getting into US is harder then sending from with customs). AND now MattUK says he has them in the UK. I think that is pretty good considering the foreigners ar all almost done. :)

All that in just under a month. I think the almost 2 months is a little high. But regardless, its like watching a pot of boiling water :), it will all fly once they are back to the USA though you watch :)

You’d think people would send it priorty mail (2-3 days), but I guess some people prefer the cheapest route…not that priotity costs that much for such a light weight package.

Comment #19:
Comment by pmac (1393) - 4/26/2006 @ 7:39 pm | [ Quote ]

Who says it isnt priority. You are doing overseas and cross border stuff.
You have to assume people know how to mail and that you saying that is just because you like to be confrontational. You are the primary reason people get into it here. It would be nice to see some positive from you once in a while Ryan.

I just got the envelope from Anthony, all sighned, it will be mailed tomorrow “Priority” or express of some sort.

Nah! Just having some fun! I can’t wait ’til these labels get back to Nick. It will be a great addition to the collection for sure. I scanned the label mainly so I have a record of who was on it when I got it. Gonna do the same with the second set. Figured it would look good framed and hanging on the wall. Hopefully, the west to east set will have everyone that wasn’t on the east to west, so I will have everyone on the two pics when I frame it.

It’ll be easy to tell if you receive an east-west, or a west-east label when these are completed and sent out to each individual due to the location of the signatures.

Yep, I was thinking that as well. Although all will be individual as the sigs are made on each label with no copies being made, the east-west and west-east versions will be different as well. So this is gonna turn out like the different wax combos on the FC 500’s, same labels, just different visually.

On a side note: Not to be stupid, but I think we really ought to just keep the signatures limited to our name instead of writing stuff like “(insert name) loves boobs” or “(insert name) has man boobs”, etc, on the labels…..

I was really hoping you were kidding. So much for a tasteful label.

Well that’s just lame. All the time and money that’s going into this and somebody is writing all over the labels?

I saw the “fake” pic and laughed cause it was funny that it wasn’t the real labels. Screwing the real labels up with lame crap is wrong.

Got the labels today from Adam. Already signed them all, and I’m sending them out to Brian (in McKinney, TX) today. :) Very cool!

On a side note: Not to be stupid, but I think we really ought to just keep the signatures limited to our name instead of writing stuff like “(insert name) loves boobs” or “(insert name) has man boobs”, etc, on the labels…..

I couldn’t agree more. This was a super idea, it is just ridiculous that someone would basically ruin these labels by doing that.

It should be easy to figure out who did it. I agree, it definitely lame.

They thought it would be “cute” to make every signature different by writing stuff after it like “loves boobs”, “is a hottie”, etc. I really thought most people had more taste than this.

If anyone decides to dissent (which it doesn’t look like is going to happen), by saying “lighten up” or something……oh contrare. Of course it’s supposed to be fun. There’s also integrity involved - as with anything - and it really defeats a lot of hard work to make something special when you try to draw attention to yourself and be “cute” (which it’s not at all) by writing something ridiculous. It’s like signing someone’s wedding book with “Stay gay” or something and then telling them to “lighten up”. There is appropriate humor, and inappropriate humor. …and when it screws up the integrity of someone else’s work (at the expense of everyone else as well), it’s inappropriate.

Anyway, just thought I’d share.

It’s easy enough to track down, who sent the labels to you Ryan?

Is it every label in that set or just a few?

I was the one who sent it to Ryan, and I received it from someone named Dave, I think.

I must have been completely blind because I never even looked at the labels except for where I write my first name in the upper left.

This whole thing is confusing me because I never saw anything about boobs.

Just a few. He signed every label differently. Some have question marks after them, arrows pointing to them, etc……and a few have phrases like the ones I mentioned. If no one cares, I don’t mind saying who it was. I don’t want everyone to hate me for pointing this out, but I just thought it was a little tasteless, that’s all.

Nick, if my post of the label pic influenced this in any way I am truly sorry and owe an apology. I thought I made it clear that it was not real, but looking back at it, maybe it wasn’t so clear after all. Again, if this stemmed from my antics, then I’ll take the heat. Guess I’ll have to show up for Defcon day to take my flogging. :(

But if it wasn’t my fault, then nevermind. :) ;)

Ryan - If you haven’t sent out the labels yet, remove the few that are wronged and send them back to me. Also, email me the name of the offender and I’ll handle it - as much as I am into public floggings, I’d rather not have the whole crew after one person.

sorry I have nothing else to say except maybe we should have been a bit more careful on the original “who’s in” list.

Well, if they updated the frappr map, it wont be hard to tell who they are.

Yeah, but I might… :x

I made sure mine were exactly he same (or tried to) so that all the labels would be the same and no-one would get something different from another. I had them ages ago now tho

It was me i admit it :(

Ok ok it wasn’t but I feel so bad the dink that did whatever is done will not be welcome here I think. Too funny. It takes just one kid/jackolantern to get the community in an uproar. I think it was one of you guys. :) Well doesn’t that narrow it down. OK I am making light a situation that has upset several/most of the bloggers, and I am sure as others involved in this venture find out as they log in there will be more public display of disappointment.
Thankfully if there are only a few messed up, and you can figure out who it was, then one of the labels doesnt need a home. I.E. the offender does not get one. But to be honest they probably do not care either.
We could cut him with a thousand paper cuts (using cardboard) and rub raw Hab mash into the little wounds, I think I know cough*Freeze*cough someone that would be able to supply a few billion habs cough*jimc*cough to make the raw Hab mash with. But hey thats just a thought. I’m not sayin’!!!…I’m just saying is all.
