I think that I might have that batch now. When you had these that I have now, I had the other set which are now back in the US

Dunno who all was in on the whole thing, but nNick sent them out in 2 seperate bunches. One to EU one to CDA getting the foreigners taken care of first.
Then i think he will be sending them out to the USA after they all have the EU and CDA signatues on them. only 2 in CDA i think. Well Aaron had them March 30th that was 22 days ago(Aaron was the first Canadian of 2 to get them), since then they have been to me then back to another country (getting into US is harder then sending from with customs). AND now MattUK says he has them in the UK. I think that is pretty good considering the foreigners ar all almost done.

It seems there is another Aaron. I must find a different name I guess! haha

All that in just under a month. I think the almost 2 months is a little high. But regardless, its like watching a pot of boiling water , it will all fly once they are back to the USA though you watch

UPDATE The “Ultimate Blog Sauce” Labels are now in my posession. Will have them mailed to the next person on the list on Monday.

Looks like I got the east coast labels. All signed to go out Priority Mail to the next on the list.

Don’t lie – I pulled all that white stuff off and threw it out. It doubled the weight of the package and cost more to ship! Now the package is much lighter

Well bad news. The ink didn’t wash off, they’re still sticky, and now WET as well. I’ll toss ‘em in the dryer with my undies to solve the wetness problem.

Nah! Just having some fun! I can’t wait ’til these labels get back to Nick. It will be a great addition to the collection for sure. I scanned the label mainly so I have a record of who was on it when I got it. Gonna do the same with the second set. Figured it would look good framed and hanging on the wall. Hopefully, the west to east set will have everyone that wasn’t on the east to west, so I will have everyone on the two pics when I frame it.

Yep, I was thinking that as well. Although all will be individual as the sigs are made on each label with no copies being made, the east-west and west-east versions will be different as well. So this is gonna turn out like the different wax combos on the FC 500′s, same labels, just different visually.

Sharpe marker can be removed pretty eaisily. Just gotta be carefull with the lables.

I couldn’t agree more. This was a super idea, it is just ridiculous that someone would basically ruin these labels by doing that.

They thought it would be “cute” to make every signature different by writing stuff after it like “loves boobs”, “is a hottie”, etc. I really thought most people had more taste than this.

If anyone decides to dissent (which it doesn’t look like is going to happen), by saying “lighten up” or something……oh contrare. Of course it’s supposed to be fun. There’s also integrity involved – as with anything – and it really defeats a lot of hard work to make something special when you try to draw attention to yourself and be “cute” (which it’s not at all) by writing something ridiculous. It’s like signing someone’s wedding book with “Stay gay” or something and then telling them to “lighten up”. There is appropriate humor, and inappropriate humor. …and when it screws up the integrity of someone else’s work (at the expense of everyone else as well), it’s inappropriate.

Anyway, just thought I’d share.

I must have been completely blind because I never even looked at the labels except for where I write my first name in the upper left.

This whole thing is confusing me because I never saw anything about boobs.

It was on the upper right side, and the person who did has posted in this thread.

Just a few. He signed every label differently. Some have question marks after them, arrows pointing to them, etc……and a few have phrases like the ones I mentioned. I thought I made it clear that it was not real, but looking back at it, maybe it wasn’t so clear after all. Again, if this stemmed from my antics, then I’ll take the heat. Guess I’ll have to show up for Defcon day to take my flogging.

I made sure mine were exactly he same (or tried to) so that all the labels would be the same and no-one would get something different from another. I had them ages ago now tho

I think it was one of you guys. Well doesn’t that narrow it down. OK I am making light a situation that has upset several/most of the bloggers, and I am sure as others involved in this venture find out as they log in there will be more public display of disappointment.

Well said- Nick’s the boss so no worries Honestly haven’t had a chance to even look at the chiles yet. That will have to be a priority shortly I guess. They are either there or they aren’t & not much I can do about it either way. You learn that early on in farming

Yean I hear ya on that one.. I hope they all turns out OK. We are like 3″ short on rain this year, but we are getting some right now been raining all day suppose to gat an inch or so the garden needs it. My peppers are doing great so far…..

Couldn’t get them forwarded (mailed) today, but they WILL go out tomorrow. Glad I wasn’t the only one that thought this was disappointing. There always has to be someone who tries to get a little more attention to ruin things.

I agree that this was completely unacceptable and inappropriate. Sorry if I am getting steamed a day late, but I just saw this. I think Nick is right that a public appology is required here. People have worked long and hard on this project and it is a shame that some feel the need to mess with it.

Well, even though no one else will see the labels with the overly stupid signatures, I think it’ll be rather obvious as to who is was, just by looking at the sigs (even the ones that aren’t bad).

Sure would be nice if people would post where the labels are at on the map up at the first of this Thread, I know it would help everyone. Nick went thru a lot of trouble for this and I think we should support his effert.

To be honest I had no idea that anyone would be upset about what I wrote as it was all tongue in cheek and my efforts to make fun of myself was a way to add something interesting to my name instead of merely signing them. I guess that everyone having an unidenticable bottle would be a tad more interesting than the same over and over again.

I fully apologize if anyone felt that i ruined their label and i had no intention to ruin any labels. But in the spirit of fun I just wanted to change things up through self deprecation.

If you want by all means erase, or black out anything you want to.

I wasnt trying to subvert or ruin anyones work but I wrote what I wrote with the intention that I was doing so with the spirit of the project. The labels were a communal thing to bring everyone who participates into a project that unified us in a fun and unique way. I had no idea that my attept to personalize each label would be met with ire. If this project was to bring attention to the people who participate on the blog then I “then” didnt find the harm in personalizing my name . And i thought that if I didnt encroach upon anyone else’s space it wouldnt be a big deal and that whomever got the offending bottle would go “Oh Clint…you goon!”

If I didnt care for the project I wouldnt have signed them all with unique addendums to each. I wouldnt have signed up and I certainly wouldnt have sent the package to the next person nor done so with haste to make sure the project gets done as soon as possible.

What I’m trying to say is that I thought this project was a fantastic idea and I did what I did with 0.0000 intention of screwing it up for anyone. I really can’t tell you how heavy my heart is right now and how badly I feel because i feel like i have betrayed you guys by….well trying to be a goof. Honestly I feel horribly. I whole heartedly apologize.

I will also paypal the cost of the messed up labels though I cannot payback the time and effort that went into them, which makes me feel worse. The least that can be done is not send me a bottle, that is fine.

It’s just a tact issue bro. “Unique” is fine, but there’s just a certain line where it kinda 1) draws too much attention to your sig, and 2) is just distracting or mildly offensive.

I’m not a prude in any way (obviously), but I think it was just more of a tact thing. Arrows, etc, were cool. “Man boobs” and the like was just too far for some.

Ill have one of the offending labels on my bottle I understand not everyone appreciated his effort towards a little humor, its just his personality I guess. From his character he meant no harm, he has the utmost respect for this community. I think its humourful and a nice little touch, but I totally understand how everyone cant relate.

Its true, i can here and I knew two names in hot sauce: Daves and Blairs and now i sit back and read this site everyday and learn something new everyday and am blown away. My knowledge of all things spicy has increased 100 fold in the last year alone.

Same here. It’s awesome. Although I do have to say I really only am fanatical of Blair’s stuff. The only other stuff that gets me excited is Defcon Sauce (just because it’s so freaking good). Also, I’m a Zero Batch 1 & 2 owner.

My Post Office informed me that you cannot change a priority box to something different by blocking out the indentification on the origanial box. $4.05 is a cheap way for this to be sent around. Also they required a return address.

yeah my post office said the same thing. They did not ask me for a return address but she gave me crap about it getting sent only by priority mail even though I received it via first class. USPS has been slacking pretty bad here recently so I hate using them but it is best for this. I am glad you got it!

East to West Labels have just made their way though scenic Southeastern Michigan. Looking good folks! They are on their way up to the great white north – Adam, you are up next.

West to East Labels arrived at my door yesterday, I will have them signed and in the mail today or tomorrow. I assume I am supposed to send them to the next person on the list? If so they are going to Missouri. I am looking forward to getting the second batch. I have to admit, the labels are very cool, especially with all the brothers and sisters signatures on them!!! Sorry for not updating here folks! It’s been a busy month. I recieved, signed, and shipped out both sets of labels at the end of August and early Sept. I got the second set just after I shipped the first set, so it’s wierd to think that they might have actually spent some time together in the same mailroom in Northern MI!

Whoopsie…I haven’t posted for either set. The ones going east-wards just left here on their way to MSK earlier this past week, perhaps Tuesday. The ones going west-wards were done & sent before ZF happened.

They have both been to Des Moines and sent on!!!

I missed updating when I sent out the West to East, but it sounds like they’ve gotten past Joe and Linda who were after ne on the list.

i’ve had both sets pass me.. the last one i received i sent off to Eman right around 9/12.. i believe i got it from Cheffy

That’s what I counted Henry. I didn’t pay any attention as to how many were in the north/south set. Although it seems like there were more than 15.

Give us a heads up Nick on the numbers in each set. I’d hate to think one or more didn’t make it back into the envelope.

Of course if it is off, it would have been one you knuckleheads that screwed up! I never screw up!!!

Jack, the labels have been out for quite some time and are out to a specific list of people. These things were sent out in March. Probably not much chance of adding anyone to the list at this point as Nick is probably glad that this round is almost over!

Actually, it was funny as Hell. We bought a fog machine a little while back, for upcoming events. We hadn’t used it up until last night. CRIPES!!! I wasn’t aware we got the uber-fog device. We ended up leaving a rolling death fog up and down the length of our street. So much for indoor use. I could see it now at the Fiery Foods show, everyone walking around with foglights on their heads. LOL!

Yea, I think someone went the wrong direction on the mailing label sheet instead of following the list! That’s why I posted the remaining order, because I knew it had to go back to them from here. Hopefully this helps. Thanks Chris for bringing it up! Won’t be long now!

Oh, and according to my list and the last posting of the East to West labels, they should be within about 5-6 people of being finished as well. So it looks like the bottles may be ready fairly soon.

Any updates, It’s been over a month and I haven’t seen them.
