UNLV Researchers Find Lead in Some Imported Hot Sauces

As most of you know, I scour the internet every day for new articles and information about the world of fiery foods. It’s rare that I find things that concern me, but this is pretty bad.

Long story short: UNLV Researchers conducted the first known study into lead concentrations of hot sauce.

Their findings?
At least one hot sauce from El Pato, El Yucateco and Bufalo had lead concentrations that EXCEEDED the FDA candy standard (>0.1 ppm lead).
