Let the good times roll!
My name is Jim, and I currently live in Dallas-Ft. Worth, Texas. I’m originally from a small town in southwest Louisiana. I was born and bred Cajun, learning to love spicy food as I spent time with the adults around the stove. There was always something cooking: etoufee, seafood courtboullion (pronounced coo-bee-ohn), shrimp Creole, and my absolute favorite, my grandmother’s gumbo.

Top 5 Hot Sauces:
- TorchBearer Tarnation Sauce
- Panola Bat’s Brew
- Ass in the Tub Hot Saruce
- Crazy Jerry’s Mustard Gas Hot Sauce
- Tabasco
Hottest Sauce Ever Consumed: I originally bought the Crazy Jerry’s Mustard as Hot Sauce because I liked the bottle, and thought it would look great in my budding collection. Little did I know that the bottle contained liquid fire! Hindsight being 20-20, you’d think that the “May cause nose hairs to combust” label might have given it away… I added a few drops to a Triscuit, and totally enjoyed the wonderful smell of mustard and garlic that this sauce gives off. Well, down the hatch! Once it entered my mouth, the Triscuit spontaneously combusted! My nostrils were filled with the smell of scorched taste buds, and my eyes tearedup as I reached for my glass of milk, which didn’t help at all! I ended up adding some of this to a bottle of regular mustard, and it made a wonderful super-spicy mustard, great for hot dogs, sausage haogies, and brats.
Number of hot sauces in collection:
I currently have 11 hot sauces in my collection:
Bat’s Brew
Crazy Jerry’s Mustard Gas
Jack Ass Hot Sauce
Louisiana brand Habanero
Magma
Frostbite
Tabasco
Tabasco Chipotle
Ass in the Tub
Ass in Antarctica
Scorned Woman
Number of hot sauces eaten in your lifetime: I’ve probably consumed 35 hot sauces or so in my life
Favorite type of sauce: I prefer a nice habanero hot sauce. I’ve tried Magma and Frostbite and others in the same vein, but I find that I prefer the natural taste of sauces made with real peppers for everyday use.
