Hot Sauce Haiku Contest

The Baby That’s Hot! Gourmet Hot Sauce “Hot Sauce Haiku” contest!

For some reason I have a strange fascination with haikus. So, what better subject about which to wax poetic than the food of the gods, namely hot sauce? I have decided to create this contest to solicit some poetry out of YOU!

Here’s the deal:

-Click the link below, fill out the form with as much information as you like. I need enough info from you to let you know if you have won the contest.
-In the text area provided, give me your bestest attempt at a Haiku based on hot sauce.
-In one month, I will decide on 10 of what I consider to be the best/funniest/most offensive/whatever whim I have at that moment, and I will put them on the site.
-I will open these 10 Haikus to public vote, one vote per person.
-After 1 week of voting, I will tally the votes and notify the winner (that’s the person who made the haiku that gets the most votes.) -The winner will get a Baby That’s Hot! T-Shirt, and a jar of the featured flavor for the month of October (it’s still a secret…)

Not sure what those pesky rules are for a haiku? When I say Haiku, I mean the most simple version of it. Three lines of verse, the first containing 5 syllables, the second 7 syllables, and the third 5 again. There are actually a ton more rules to true Haiku, but we will just restrict it to the simple ones of 17 syllables on 3 lines of 5 – 7 – 5. OK?

Here is an example from the movie Fight Club:

Worker bees can leave
Even drones can fly away
The queen is their slave

Get it? Now it’s your turn. More rules and instructions on the contest page.
