Nice Nagas
A reader from the UK was reading the comments & articles we’ve posted about the Dorest Naga and wanted to share his photos with us. Apparently he’s been making sauces out of these monster peppers. Now that’s a sauce I’d like to try!

[Comment ID #61217 Quote]
Oh there were definite hints of pain, however well masked. But to have wings soak in the ZERO overnight….Now, that would be worth watching!

Thanks Huv, it’s always fun with you guys. Just glad you got home safe.
As for the hurting you guys stuff, I don’t remember forcing you guys to eat those horrible fowl appendages. LOL!
Just finished making some sauces with the peppers from these pictures. (Sorry, only enough for family & friends). This batch really are quite silly in strength. I usually make two types:-
1) A ‘fruity’ sauce with a base of papaya, garlic, ginger and of course Naga chillies. This one’s pretty hot but you could put a small dab on your tongue and still be able to talk. We call it Dorset Friends.
2) A version of an Angolan ‘Jundungo’ sauce that is basically almost pure Naga poached in vodka (they use a different spirit in Angola that I can’t get here). This one literally makes you speechless. It’s fun to try once or twice but crosses the pleaure/pain threshold rather quickly.
I have tried one of these raw, just a nip off the tip and I lasted 2 mins until I was running for the yoghurt. I didn’t get that with the other types I’ve tried (Thai, Bonnet, Sav etc). I won’t be doing it again.

Whoa – you definately got my attention here with the vodka Naga!

I love chilies. I want to plant them. Anyone has the seeds?
