Review: CaJohn’s Talon Hot Sauce

Label Description Talon, the weapon of birds of prey, rapier-like in its efficiency to kill or maim their victims. The Fatalii, a Central South African Habanero, is shaped much like a talon. The Red Savina Habanero is the Guinness Book of World Record’s hottest spice. I put these two tongue torching chiles together to create one of the hottest non-extract sauces I have ever tasted. Truly a fire that will challenge the limits of the most ardent Chilihead. I don’t know if this sauce will maim you, but its piercing heat is definitely worthy of the name ~ CaJohn

Ingredients: Fatalii Chiles, Red Savina Habanero Chiles, Distilled Vinegar.

Appearance: DEEP Red in color! Nothing put peppers in this baby.

Smell: Nice Red Savina Habanero Smell. Smells a lot like some Red Savina mash I have laying around pure music for my nostrils!

Heat: 9.0/10.0 (tough to rate as I like REAL hot stuff). Consistent, immediate heat. Not for the faint of heart – this stuff packs a punch.

Uses: I’ve used this in just about everything this week. Great pepper flavor, no vinegar taste. It started with Pizza the first night I got the bottle. It was great – killed about half the bottle that night. Loved it on fresh chicken breast, and turkey burgers. But my favorite use was in Mrs. Huvason’s spaghetti sauce. WOW was that good. Took my wife’s great sauce and brought the heat up to a respectable level. Since it’s just peppers, it didn’t mess at all with the flavor of the sauce, just added nice heat to it. The beauty of Talon is that you can add as little or as much as you can handle! As you can see from the pics, the more the better!

Closing: This bottle is already gone. It certainly lives up to CaJohns claim of being “one of the hottest non-extract sauces” – by far the hottest non-extract sauce I have had the pleasure of consuming. Talon Hot Sauce is very hot, however, so be careful. It’s not for the friendsfamily who think they can eat anything (unless of course they are from the wife’s side of the family ? ). Pure pepper taste, which I happen to love. Can be used to heat up just about anything. Highly recommended.

Overall rating: 9.5/10.0 – Must try.
