This Weekend – Fiery Foods UK Chilli Festival in Brighton

FFUK Chilli Festival The highly successful FFUK Chilli Festival is being held in Victoria Gardens in Brighton on the 14/15 & 16th September 2011.

This year the event will celebrate the life of  the Godfather UK Chillies Peter Seymour (aka ChilliPeterPete) who passed away just weeks ago

The Event Schedule (Subject to change and addition)

  • Friday 14th 5pm-10pm

Highlights include breaking the world record jalapeno-eating in 60 seconds of 16 (the 17th was discounted) by ChileFoundry’s The Lurch.

Also Man vs Fire extreme buffet featuring Ted The Fire-Breathing from Washington State and Darth Naga and watched over by compere Matt Whistler who is no stranger to mad stunts, having been the first person to travel from Lands End to John O Groats by push scooter.

Music from Rough Chowder and Stars and Sons

Bar open, hot food and plenty of chilli stalls!

  • Saturday 15th 11am-9pm

National Chilli Awards 2012 – a celebration of the UK chilli industry

The International BBQ Network will be bringing their Ready Steady Q BBQ competition to FFUK – register at to join in.

Amateur Sauce Contest – contestants bring their homemade chilli products in to be judged by the professionals. The prize is to make their sauce with chillipepperpete in their kitchen, taking it from an idea to a product to sell on the shelves. For more details
