Yucatan-style Taco Mix from

Bit Spicy Yucatan Style Taco MixOla! It is I, Senor Boobis. Okay its not, it’s just me, Scooby being an idiot as you will clearly seen in the video. A very shamed and failed Scooby if anything. Regardless of my shocking performance, one thing that did not disappoint was the Yucatan-style taco mix from

I took on and succeeded against the ‘three chilli Phall challenge’ a few weeks back that the team run and that was a pretty intense curry. With this in the back of my mind the whole time I was both excited and pretty worried about taking this on.

Ingredients: Dried chillies, Cumin, Smoked paprika, Garlic, Black Peppercorns, Oregano, salt.

The only thing that put my mind to rest was the 9/10 heat rating given by bit spicy. Ok its not much reassurance on the heat scale but hey ho, I am here to review so lets crack on. Take a look at the review and I’ll see you after the interval (Well when the video has finished at least).

Well there you have it guys, the taste was great considering I only stuck to the spice pack and mince. Pop a bit of salsa and sprinkle with some cheese then boom, voila, or however the Mexicans say it. And the heat????? I must admit I was a little let down to start with by the stated 9/10 from, but that was a bit hasty of me. Given time and the heat builds but builds slowly. And when at full throttle, WOW!!!! Definitely 9/10 as this cranks out the heat and I can confirm that it IS a mix of Scotch bonnet and Naga. Kind of explains a lot about the heat level hey?

Not a hope in hell of getting the wife (or kids) to take on any of this so I guess I’ll be getting the boys round for some beer and Taco’s during the Euro games this year. Sounds like a plan to me. Go on, grab a sachet of this and hold on tight. Taco heat and flavour does not get much better than this. Enjoy!

Until next time, if it burns going in, it will burn coming out.
