Have you booked your room for the 2008 Fiery Foods Show yet? What about your travel? If you haven’t thought about it yet – consider this a friendly reminder. I know a lot of folks have already made their reservations – but I’ve spoken to a few over the last few days that haven’t. If you are planning to stay at the Sandia – then call Ellie at 800-304-7660 to get your room reserved (hint: ask for a room with a mountain view). I would also suggest that you book your travel as soon as possible as flights into ABQ tend to fill up quick. Some chileheads are driving in and a few are taking the Amtrack – so there are options, but don’t wait until last minute to get yours booked. See you there!

If anyone wants an alternate hotel to stay at (if Sandia is a little too pricey) ask me, and I’ll let you know where hotels are located and what they run.

Damn, that was fast! I’m still not sure if I’m flying or driving again this year. Either way I’m going to ship my stuff like I did 2 years ago. Hauling it yourself, then dragging it UPHILL at the Sandia loading dock really wasn’t much fun at all! the drive out was great, even though I hit head on with an ice storm for the first 200 miles or so!

Yeah, they seem to be a big friggin’ hit. We’ll probably do a few runs of them through the year, for big wing weekends (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, etc.).
Good thing about living in Houston – we’ve now got a direct flight option into ABQ!

Yeah not may direct flights from the east coast to New Mexico, one of the only drawbacks to flying. I leave from Allentown International. Small airport so there is almost always a connection. But the security hassles are nothing like going through Newark or JFK. So I’ll stick to Allentown if I fly again this year.
You know I never noticed that little ‘Pink Floyd Lyrics’ link at the bottom. How long has that been there?
With the amount of UV light that will be in our tent, I may have to hand out skin block to the booths on either side of us. 🙂
