A big congrats to all the winners from last night! It’s great to see so many of the regulars around these parts getting honored. I’ll be updating the list with links to all the products and sites after this weekend, for now it’s time to get back out there and get things started again.
Reminder for those that are here – tonight is poker night. Meet at the Amerisuites Hotel at 7pm – if you can’t find one of us in the lobby, we’ll be in a conference room in the back. BYOB and after a few hands, we will make the trek across the street to ride the bull. For those that don’t make the poker game, plan to meet at the bull at 9pm – that way those playing poker can get a few beers in them before the riding starts…

Hey, I want pictures of Laura in the morning! Glow Sticks anyone? HA HA HA Love ya Laura!
Let’s give it up to the winners!!!! Also let me be the first (I KNOW there are going to be others) to comment on the BABE in the first picture…..rrrrow!
[Comment ID #110705 Quote]Three Brothers is the one I sent you with the paper label. Make sure to shake well! Seperation is kind of inevitable with an all natural no thickening agents sauce.

I know AJ, That was a good one. I would have flipped you off though. Buddy, pal, compadre? ๐ ๐ ๐
Was good to meet some of you folks at the show. Got to stop by Zane & Zack’s, Hot Shots, CaJohn’s, Danny Cash, Sweet Sunshine, Cin Chilli, etc.
BTW, I’m that guy with the really long blond hair that said hi to everyone. ๐ I’ve already opened my Naga Sabi bottle and emptied it out a bit. Collectible, what? heheh It’s gonna hurt tomorrow..
It was strange seeing the gun show next door – seeing people carrying around rifles and shotguns sorta weirded me out at first, then I realized I was born here in Texas and lived here my whole life, and I should be used to it. So I went and visited the gun show and got my pocket knife sharpened after we were done with ZestFest. I’m rambling.. I blame the Naga Sabi!
Eric, it was great to meet ya today. Next year be sure to come see us. We wil have some new products coming out this year, a BBQ sauce or two, and some dry rubs. I don’t know if you signed up on our email list, but we will be puting together some holiday gift packs as well. Look for a new look website in the next couple of months. I hope you enjyed the show. We had a lot of fun, met some great people, and got to taste some seriously world class sauces. Did you get any of the Sweet Sunshine Atomic Chili Sauce? I know they sold out pretty quickly. Now I’m the one rambling. I will also blame the Naga Sabi, which I almost forgot to pick-up. Gotta go we are gonna go have dinner and drinks with the DC crew. Take it EZ. Sam

Nope, the Atomic Chili Sauce was sold out by the time I got to the Sweet Sunshine booth. I did tell the pretty young lass there that a photo of her and two anonymous guys (ok, ok, just kidding!) made it up on HSB.
I have to admit, one of my favorite tastes at the show was the Cin Chili. I’m pretty sure it had no heat, but by the time I made it to that booth, I think I had burnt out all of my heat receptors, so I can’t be sure. The taste was great though.
After getting home, I grilled some flank steak and made some fajitas. A healthy dose of CaJohn’s 10 Salsa on each fajita wrap turned just a good dinner into a really awesome dinner.
Only thing I feel like I’m missing out on are some Defcon wings and not being able to sample some Fat Kid sauces..
I’m also wishing I picked up some of that chipotle sauce at your booth, Sam. Ya got a website where I can order some, right?
Glad I got top see most of you again. Congrats to all winners !!!!

The two dudes @ Sweet Sunshine were Kelli’s husband Ed, and brother in law Evan. Cin Chili is only lacking heat, the flavor is incredible. We all know how to fix that!! The wesite is zandzhoneyco.com or email me sam@zandzhoneyco.com. If you get ahold of me today or tomorrow I’ll give you a hell of a deal on cases (we brought way too much) and of course you wouldn’t have to pay shipping. I think we are leaving town tomorrow.

I quoted the wrong one, still waking up.;)
Well, it looks like Zest-Fest and the Fiery-Foods Chalange had shredded what little was left of E.Z. Earl’s retirement!! As Branding Iron Foods first show outside of the foodservice industry, it turned out to be crazy. In the Fiery Foods Challange Blazin’-Hot won the Golden Chili as Best Specialty Hot Sauce. Smokin’-Hot won the Bronze medal in that same catagory. Then Smokin’-Hot won the Silver for Table sauces. And finally Branding Iron won the Silver for Hot Sauces in the Zest-Fest’s “Peoples Choice Awards”.
Based on this success it appears we also signed a new retail grocery broker for the Texas market. As he put it, “Man, you guys have managed to capture Texas in a bottle.” High praise!!
It was all a hoot, especially seeing some faces to put with the names around the blogs. – E.Z.
