Zero Batch 3’s
We are doing another DEFCON Day, this time a repeat appearance at St. James Gate in Maplewood, NJ. It’s a great little Irish Pub about a block from the Maplewood train station (on the Morrs/Essex line). The hours will be roughly 1-6pm. The usual, free Defcon wings, raffles for t-shirts and sauce, and of course you can buy as much sauce as you like (and save on the shipping charges). We will have the new and improved #1 available, and perhaps any ZEROS we have left.

From Manhattan (or anywhere near the train): You can take the Mid-Town Direct from Penn Station, directly to the Maplewood station. It’s about a 30 minute ride. It’s on the Morris/Essex Line. Once you exit the train, you’ll see a small tunnel entrance, and a large one, head towards the small one. At the bottom of the stairs, make a right. Head towards the street, that’s Maplewood Avenue, make a left – its about 500 feet down.Hope to see everyone there! Maybe Mad will show up, it was the first DEFCON Day he ever attended.

Bret, huv was gonna wear the T-shirt, so the bus was supposed to be there. That is if he wore it. I tried calling for an impromtu drop-in, but got his voice mail. I had a great day on the lake at a family reunion, catered BBQ. Called from the middle of the lake on a pontoon. Beautiful sunny day in SC today. Sure beat that tornado we had Thursday.

That’s what I figured Nick. I called huv a bit ago on his drive home, so I did get to speak after all. He was sitting in traffic waiting to go into the Lincoln Tunnel. That was kinda weird to me, my idea of traffic is catching the light red! Very small town here. Very. Only three miles to work, 4 lights. It’s either a 5 min drive to work, or 20 minutes, depending on the lights!
Huv said it was a good time. Wish I could have made it, or at least gotten through to say hi to everyone. I’ll get back up that way one day. Gotta make NM my priority first though. Not gonna miss that for the world!
In case ya missed it, which I know ya did, the short bus WAS at Defcon. Huv forgot and left it in the car. Cool that he remembered to take it. So in a way, I made it this time! 😉

huv, you da man. Forgot to tell ya, the short bus came to the reunion today as well. Rolled right through the parking lot right beside the shelter. No camera handy, so no pics.
Also, I stopped at the grocery last night and when I came out to go to the car, there was a big yellow bus parked right beside my car. No camera then either.
Just can’t escape the bus.

I’m not the only one. I keep getting these stories from everyone about Short Bus sightings. You see the post in the Short Bus Hot Sauce thread from the person who bought one for her mother that drives an actual Short Bus? Great stuff! I still can’t believe how nuts this bus thing turned out to be. Funny, just funny.
Also just noticed that the H2 toy sitting next to my NOS bottle kinda resembles a Short Bus. It’s even yellow. 🙂

On a sad note, just looked at my Caveat Emptor from CaJOHn, and it’s LEAKING Ahhhhh. Got it on my fingers. So what was I souppose to do, I ate it. Definitely HOT!!!!! I’ll have to call John and see if he can fix it. It’s not bad, but definitely leaking a bit

I don’t think it was fixing them. (Unless it is the cap area i guess he could fix that) But I believe he was waiting for the supplier to find replacement containers. That is what I think he told me at the show.
