After MSK & I ate the chocolate covered habaneros at the Screaming Monkey booth Friday night, we eventually met back up again at the Spepper booth and low and behold they had a jar of pickled habaneros. So in our infinite wisdom, we struck a deal to each eat another habanero on Saturday (geniuses). As with every dumb brilliant idea, we attracted a crowd of folks that also wanted to partake in the festivities. (or maybe it was just the pack mentallity).

Dang, how fun does that look……I’m making my reservations for next year!
Planning for next year is already underway. We are going to be launching a full fledged HSB attack – organized hotels (share a room and save $), transportation, meals & drinking. I’ll keep everyone posted as that moves along. It will take some time, but I think we can really get a team thing going with next year, heck maybe even for the ZestFest in Sept.
I’m in for Zest Fest! If it’s anything like this 🙂

Real men eat habaneros. Real men with errors in judgement do as well. C’mon Nick, you didn’t need all those pesky extra tastebuds, did ya??? Hopefully, we’ll be able to make one of the two shows in the next year…either ZestFest or next year’s show in NM.
The wife and I will be attendind Zest Fest in sept. Blair was saying how much more he liked this show. I think we need to have an all out attack in sept, i cant wait another year.
I’m tempted to try and get to the ZestFest. Anyone know who attends or is it most people/companies etc?

Man, spend one day stuck in a twirling competion and I need to stay up all night reading blog posts! Looks like I missed a GREAT time.
Man those peppers were hot!!!!! I don’t know how Nick and MSK could stand to eat 2 of them, especially after the beer tents were closed!!!! What a great time though, a true Chile-head ender to a great show. Special thanks to Nick, MSK, The Creator, Mad Reilly, CaJohn, and Blair for the best show yet!!!!! Next year can’t come soon enough!! Thanks guys!!!!

Hello all! Nick, I just wanted to say that it was a pleasure to meet you this year at the Fiery Foods Show. I notice a few familiar faces up in this joint… Lee and the Cash Boys, MSK (hope you get your voice back!!) and Cheffy. Looking forward to next years show and hopefully we will be exhibiting at ZestFest this year. Keep up the great work, the blog looks good!

Are you talking about the chick in the buffet? She said something to me and I responded with a chuckle. She immediately turned to CaJohn and UNLOADED a rash of crap. I think it had something to do with him wanting to kill her…LOL! Needless to say I didn’t stick around.

Nah… This was a chick that followed us home from downtown on the shuttle. The Shuttle driver told her it was a one way trip but she didn’t care. Jason (aka Ryan Seacrest… he’s the “some guy” in the first picture at the top of this page) from Primera Label Printers had to litterally run and hide from this chick. Security later found her passed out in the kitchen on the floor. She was definately a french fry short of a happy meal.
I don’t think PepperMan did a Habanero… that would require him to remove the beer bottle from his lips. LOL
French fries are pretty good with ranch dressing! LOL
After all the junk we went through last year, you’d have a hard time getting me downtown again. It’s not a very hospitable place. They proved to be excellent posterchild for A***oles of the year! LOL
What’s up MSK, Dan, Nick, and everyone else PEPPERMAN here first this is my first but won’t be my last post here. BTW Dan The beer was only away for a moment rest assured, but hell yes PEPPERMAN did the hab!!!! (I am standing right behind Lee) and not only did the mouth burn but when I went outside I mad the mistake of a little eye rubbing and that hurt a hell of a lot more.
Of course Pepperman did a hab, or his ass is fired! lol

Nick… that hurt like a MOFO. Not something I’d want to weekly for sure! And Pepperman did take the beer down long enough to eat one!
UPDATE – Just got off the phone with Mary Jane at Sunbelt Shows and there is only 10-15 booths left for the 2007 show. So, if you haven’t booked yet, now might be a good time if you are planning on exhibiting next year in ABQ.

Already got ours the last day of the last show. The cool thing is we got the same spot, as did everyone around us, we had great neighbors, and they felt the same way. Nothing like having Clifford from Southafricans.com feed you beer when you most needed it but couldn’t escape the booth,.
I would chew on 2 or 3 habaneros in one sitting, no problem at all! I am a true PepperHead!
