Day 2 & 3 pretty much ran together for a few of us. We were going to bed when most were getting up, but hell, we didn’t come here to sleep! Poker game was a blast – bigger and better next year (and possibly NM). Thanks to all who chipped in and made the night so much fun. For the record, Arizona Jack took first, Aaron took 2nd and Ryan took 3rd.

Glad all you guys had a good time, I know I did…The scar tissue on my liver told me so. Didn’t want to leave, but, as you all know, I had to. It was really cool putting faces on so many names. Hopefully everyone is coming to Albuquerque as well.
Ditto! To us it was a big part of the fun, actually seeing and meeting everyone we have talked to on-line so much, so many visions or expectations of what you thought someone was going to look like turned out to be way off base.

It was definately cool to put names with faces… great people and then incidents that may or may not be put on permanant records now.
I remember waiting for a cab and someone from the hotal came out asking if we had any idea who was running down isles of the hotal screaming “I’m gonna die!” Yeah an impression was left LOL. I kept imagining someone chugging a bottle of sauce in mistake, some stupid hot perhaps.
Anyone else notice the extra security in the airports on the way home? When we got to Phoenix there were some cops with dogs walking around inside

I just got home a couple hours ago. ZF was an “F”ing awesome time, with “f”ing awesome people. I am happy that I gor the opportunity to meet and get to know the people that were there, and for those that weren’t, I look forward to having the same opportunity in the future.

Good morning all!! I ended up getting back into Des Moines about 5:30 last night. What a weekend!!!! It was so nice to get tomeet everyone, felt to me like a bunch of old friends having their semi-annual reunion. Thanks to everyone for the fun and the laughs.
Though I think my liver will recuperate on its own, I think I could sleep for a week. Between late nights and all the excitement, I am one tired cheffy.

Cheffy, we got in last night and were starving, so we ordered some burgers and we opened up your BBQ sauce, and all I have to say is, we need a gallon-size jug of that stuff. That and Danny Cash’s Renegade Ranch. Between that BBQ sauce, the Renegade Ranch and the THT Garlic Lover’s Steak Sauce, all I need to do is order a plain burger and use all 3.
Well – So I unpack yesterday only to find that TSA went through my luggage. Now I’m all for this in the name of security. The issue I have is that my clothes are ruined. TSA in their infinate wisdom opened one of the two sauces that I had stuffed into a CaJohn coozy for protection. The sauce was taken from the coozy and opened and spilled all over my luggage. So anyone who got a signed and numbered Chuck Hell, your collectibilit yjust went up as number 5/13 is now open. I am also highly allergic to bee stings and my epi-pen was taken out of it’s tube that it comes in. To top it all off, there was no TSA card inside my luggae stating that it was searched. Needless to say I am little ticked off. Like I stated – I don’t care that they went through my stuff. It does pi$$ me off that there was no TSA card inside and I will have a he!! of a time trying to re-coup any af the damages to my clothes.
We are still here at the hotel. Will be leaving this afternoon and trying to catch up this evening.
Dude, that blows. I’m really sorry to hear that man. Our luggage had been gone through as well. They left everything a frick’n mess and didn’t latch the inner divider so when I opened the suitcase to get a lighter out after landing and all that, our crap fell all over the place…and no TSA card. Sorry about the hot sauce man, that sucks that it got opened and that it got all over your clothes.
The TSA went through my huge suitcase too – but the funny thing is, it looks like they went through the first layer of sauce (all the hot sauces were wrapped in clothes) and then gave up. They only unwrapped about 4 bottles.
Thanks Ryan – We’ll see if I can get any action but I highly doubt it. One bright spot is that my Loco Luna, Danny Cash and Scotty B’s t-shirts didn’t get ruined.

Blane, anybody can tell you, when you are just starting out, your reg day job is only 1/2 the battle. There is 6-8-10 more hours work to do when you get home. Thats why I shut my e bay down , just to get some rest and some sleep. I should be back up to normal in a cpl days or so, and going to totally revamp the store items, and also have to get the dot com thingy working, super spicy dot come is live but you cannot buy anything yet. Gotta fix that.

Mrs Ryan,
Sanyo is a secret undercover spy I employ to check out the competition at food shows and the like. She is very hard to spot and is an expert at disguises. No sightings have been recorded to date. She is very good but very expensive. One true incognito expert.
HMMMMM maybe i can hire her to keep an eye on Ryan so I don’t have to keep searching for him everytime we do an event like ZF

I will subcontract her out on a basis of $600 scovilles per hour, are you sure it’s worth it? Generally speaking, Ryan can be found where ever the coldest beer or the hottest sauce is. Also, watch out for the final table in po ker tourneys, he is very good..
