Thursday:
5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m
ZestFest will be kicked off in Cowtown style this year with a Sept. 6 pre-party in the Stockyards. The first annual Chile Pepper Burger Bash will be held in front of the Cowtown Coliseum from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will feature live music, beer, and a burger cook-off between chefs Grady Spears of Dutch’s, nationwide barbecue expert Rick Browne, and Central Market’s Jeff Bekavac. The burgers they cook will be sampled to the crowd and judged by a panel of local businesspeople. The Burger Bash will also signify the end of the Fiery Food Challenge, a prestigious contest of spicy food and other products from Sept. 4-6. Burger Bash attendees will receive coupons for $2 off of the price of admission to ZestFest, which is Sept. 7-9. Attendance to the bash is free.
After the Burger Bash – it’ll be time to hit Booger Red’s, the bar attached to H3. (Pictures from last year can be seen here)

Fiery Food Challenge Awards Dinner:
The winners are announced on Friday, September 7th during the awards ceremony at ZestFest 2007 in Fort Worth, TX. All awards
will be announced, and awards will be physically handed to those present at the ceremony. All winners not present at the banquet will be notified by the Fiery Food Challenge and will receive their awards by UPS.
Saturday:
ZestFest: 10am to 5pm (Trade & Public)
Chilehead Picture: 1pm (Back of convention center)
Poker: 7pm (Amerisuites Conference Room)
** Poker Update: Cheffy was informed yesterday that the hotel has not yet finished their bar or restaurant, which means we will be able to BYOB to the poker game. Remember – the poker night will be free for everyone, cost of entry into the poker game: 1 bottle of hot sauce.
Sunday:
ZestFest: 10am to 4pm (Trade & Public)

Can’t wait- Thursday night, after the Burger Bash, meet at Booger Red’s, the bar attached to H3. It’s been the unofficial meeting place since before we’ve been going to the show.
Wait a minute. Are you saying that people will actually be consuming beer at this event? THE HUMANITY OF IT ALL!

Man I wish I could show up this year. I had a great time to say the least. I might say I like the nightlife quite a bit more than ABQ. LOL Lots more fun to be had with Booger Red’s, The White Elephant ( I think its called that?) and all the other bars. If you didn’t see the group at one just walk across the street to the others! Then just walk back to the hotel if you can lol
Agreed, nightlife in TX was great! Nice to be able to walk around the stockyards, drink, ride the bull, drink, go to Booger Reds, drink, walk huvason home, drink…………..
We landed yesterday afternoon and headed over to the Will Rogers Center. I talked with June and was dissappointed to hear there was only 1 registered as a collector/blogger. I know Cheffy and MSK are arriving today, but I hope to see many more over the next 4 days! We will have a great time, but we will miss all of those who made last year such a blast…
