I want you to know I could have beaten you but I decided to hold off ๐
[Comment ID #31914 Quote]
Actually, if you’ll go look at the last quote of April, I beat you both ๐ It’s now a ‘collectable’ I suppose- a May thread in April ๐

Hah so there ๐
[Comment ID #31916 Quote]
Thanx for ruining my day Jim ๐ And I WAS going to pay you today ๐
[Comment ID #31916 Quote]
AND it was my own fault! You were responding to my POST! Definitely NOT paying you now ๐

LOL – thanx. But JIm already ruined my day!

Mild to Wild(R) regretfully announces that they are out of business… their wildly popular Fiery Hot Habanero Sauce is now no longer available… ever ๐
[Comment ID #31924 Quote]
I just spit my coffee at my monitor! That was funny. As they say “the check is in the mail” ๐
Do you make a bigger bottle ๐ ? I’ve already made a considerable dent in the gallon! I was pouring it in tupperware for my guests. Time to point them to your site so I can have it all to myself!
For a brief time there, I was putting it into 5 gallon pails also ๐ Had some shyster stroke me along about how it was going to be used as a sauce in his taco manufacturing facility- if I’d put it in 5 gl pails and provide him with several gallons (free!) for ‘evaluation’ in the manufacturing process. This continued for two years before I wised up. I’m only a little slow ๐
[Comment ID #31932 Quote]
What a coinicidence. I really do own taco manufacturing facility. I dont need 5 gallons, just 2 or 3 free sample gallons please ๐
[Comment ID #31947 Quote]
I noticed that huvason.
Isnt that down the street from the huv-pizza parlor???
Nice try guys ๐ Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me ๐

LOL – bought my Pizza Stone on Saturday. Going to do some practicing this week.
[Comment ID #31958 Quote]
You did say you were a little slow ๐ I was hoping maybe it was A LOT slow ๐
Mercy! What a great time I’ve had the last two weeks! With the exception of tasting Black Mamba…though I lived to tell about it, there wasn’t one regretful moment.
[Comment ID #31966 Quote]
Better get to perfecting that huvason ๐
[Comment ID #31967 Quote]
I *really* started to figure it out when the street department came by and put up a sign for me in front of my house warning folks “Slow Children Playing” ๐
Whoah Jim.
i was thumbing (is that right?) through posts and i saw the going out of business and my reaction was… “NOOOOOOO. Not before i get more of that habanero sauce!!”
Scared me there
Nope- just funin’ with huv ๐ I don’t *plan* on going anywhere just yet. I’ve a few of Blairs things to sell first ๐
Got your package today- thanks!
[Comment ID #31973 Quote]
Welcome back MSK. Can’tt wait to hear the details of the trip!
[Comment ID #31979 Quote]
That’s hilarious. I actually laughed out loud for a second…
Jim, your BBQ sauce is my new official BBQ sauce. I’ve got several friends and my entire family hooked. When you sent that sample bottle to me with the bottle of Blair’s I ordered, you made a customer for life. A firefighter buddy of mine picked up a refill for me when he was in Indianapolis recently. I can’t get enough of it. Keep up the good work!
Hi MSK, Glad your back.
Welcome back man…Do you have any writing on your head?
Thanks for the greetings my friends!!!
Got the sauce Pam! Thanks for becoming part of the collection!
No writing on the head DC but I have a sh*t pot load of sauce to log in!
Thanks Ethan! Should have let me known he was coming & I’ve have hooked you up with a bigger bottle ๐
[Comment ID #32007 Quote]
Dang! I’ll keep that in mind next time. ๐ Do you think my local rib joints will be offended if I start bringing a bottle of your sauce to dinner?
[Comment ID #32014 Quote]
More than likely ๐ But, if they want to keep you as a customer, they’ll get over it pretty quick ๐
[Comment ID #32014 Quote]
Thatโs actually how we ended up on our local Taco Surfs tables. Our customers started bringing our sauce with them so now the restaurant orders two of our sauces for all their table
Welcome back MSK! Any news yet? All that logging in will be good for you- give those poor tired bones of yours a nice rest ๐ Turn the thermostat up a bit too ๐
[Comment ID #32022 Quote]
Don’t worry Jim…the story of the “Campbell Death March” will be told ๐
I meant news on the grandkid ๐ With as much stuff as you forgot behind, I’d be curious to see how much of the march you remember ๐
Hey MSK!!! Hope your tour was everything that you had anticipated. It was truly an honor, and a privilege to have had the opportunity to spend time with you on your Hot Sauce journey.
Hey Tracy! Glad you got a top ten- saves me from having to send you my bottle… which I was going to do if you stayed dead last ๐ We Clan members have to stick together ๐

Movie Review issue #2
1. Memoirs of a Geisha: A great movie all around, not just a “chick flick”.
2. King Kong: I liked it even with a long introduction, the action is well worth the wait.
3. An unfinished life: Morgan Freeman does this one justice for sure!!!
4. Hostel: My wife had to leave the room, thumbs up for gore and violence.
5. Brokeback Mountain: I had to leave the room, and the wife soon followed.
6. Yours mine and ours: Funny but pedictable.
why did you leave the room during brokeback mountain? LMAO
[Comment ID #32359 Quote]
1. I liked Memoirs well enough. Lovely visuals. Worth seeing once.
2. King Kong is fantastic, truly a cinematic experience. If you haven’t seen it, go rent it now!
3. Haven’t seen it. Should I?
4.Hostel was atrocious. And I don’t mean the gore, I mean the movie as a whole. I was tempted to turn it off, but I make an effort to never stop watching a movie part way through.
5 Brokeback Mountain was surprisingly good, imo. I was expecting a lot more “controversial” material, but the story could easily translate to a heterosexual relationship, making it easy to relate to. The acting was phenomenal. I highly recommend that people don’t skip this one just because it’s “gay.” I almost did, and I’m very glad I didn’t.
6. Haven’t seen it, not too interested.
Sorry if I stole any thunder, Cheffy. Movies are another passion of mine, right up there with hot sauce! ๐
[Comment ID #32376 Quote]
Perhaps he kept thinking someone was coming up behind him. LOL!!!
I watched Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind or something like that. I wasn’t too impressed but I guess alot of people like it?
[Comment ID #32359 Quote]
1. Havent seen
2. Good action/effects, worth the watch.
3. Havent seen it, titles say everything to me, which is unfortunate, if the title is boaring i relay that to how the movie will be, bt that is not the case in most movies. (Best titles can be garbage content)
4. Loved it ๐ but the ending again as with most movies…
5. Gay (pun intended, not that there’s anything wrong with that)
6. Havent seen it, havent even heard of it.
7. MI3 coming soon I will be seing that hope it will be good ๐ Love the BIG budget action flicks.
Anyone watch Flight 93 yet? Thoughts?
[Comment ID #32537 Quote]
Haven’t, and can’t say that I will. I’m personally disgusted that people would cash in on a tragedy like that. Had it been a documentery, that would have been a little more suitable, but to make a feature film that is made out to be “the drama movie of the season” turns my stomach. Just my opinion, don’t expect anyone to agree with me.
[Comment ID #32545 Quote]
I agree (go figure ๐ ) Not interested at ALL in seeing it.
Congrats again MSK, give me a call tomorrow, I talked with Big Paul tonight. He wants to meet up with you to get his sauces. No hurry, he said congrats as well.
[Comment ID #32545 Quote]
I do agree with you Ryan, and I actually said your statement almost word for word to someone last night. I wonder how the families of the people depictied in the movie feel? Did they have to give their consent?
if they did give their consent do they also get part of the money the movie makes….?
Yes they did, and most were pleased with the movie. People have been exploiting this tragedy for years now, look at Michael “Fat Cow” Moore. The difference between this movie and the schlock that has been presented up until now is the fact the families were consulted beforehand. I don’t plan on seeing the movie as the entire tragedy hit a little close to home (lost 6 good friends, and was about 2 miles from the WTC when they came down), but I’m happy this movie at least makes Americans look like heroes as opposed to other “so-called” films in the past.
I tend to think as Defcon does on this one. Most of the families gave it their approval and were consulted extensively. The film is being used to donate to the memorial fund also. I don’t know that I’d see it either, but I’m not opposed to seeing it. Hit a little close to home for me too- I lost family. You hit it right that we need to be reminded that we’re capable of producing heroes from ordinary folks!
[Comment ID #32640 Quote]
I haven’t seen farenheight 9-11 either, and don’t wish to. I’m glad that they got the families consent. I do agree that its great that they’re showing how we will stand up to horrible situations like that. I still don’t like that people will be making any money off this, I think that all the proceeds should go to charity. Of course they have to get a paycheck, but I’m talking if it makes millions, they should cover their overhead and donate the rest. Just my opinion. The other thing that makes me weary of movies like this is that even though they try to stick to the actual story as much as they can, there is always some artistic license taken and something gets changed.
[Comment ID #32892 Quote]
And I agree with you there also! In an ideal world, every penny would go to scholarships, memorials, and the like, but alas, it ain’t a perfect world ๐ The ‘artistic license’ is why I won’t see a movie that attempts to protray history- they rarely (okay- never) get it right. I go strictly for entertainment (Gladiator, Last of the Mohicans, Star Wars)- if the movie has a ‘message’ you won’t find me there ๐ Last really good movie I saw was Ladder 49. Unlike the lame Backdraft, this one was pretty much dead on… other than too many exploding buildings ๐ Looking forward to the Pirates sequel.
Thanks Brian, I received the sauces from you today!! I’ll send you an email when they go on tour – I’m stuck inside revising for a few weeks first ๐
Agreed Jim, this is not a perfect world, but at least most of the money for this movie IS going to good causes, can’t really ask for much more than that in the morally and ethically devoid land of Hollywood. Personally, I’d like to see Hollywood go the way of Atlantis, but alas this is not to be, but one can dream. Perhaps Tom Cruise can take all the stars with him when his spaceship is ready for launch. Also, as I stated, this movie doesn’t portray Americans as completely inept lemmings as most regarding this topic have. A recent trend I do find aggravating though is that many movies have purposely cut any and all visual reference of the Twin Towers from the film stock, as if it never existed…As if we are supposed to think it never happened. Truly a sad and pitiful commentary indeed, but then again, it IS Hollywood, where $50,000 dresses and dog psychiatrists are the flavor of the day.
it is sad they took the towers out of most of the movies, however I understand why the ones being released around that time did it, they were trying to show a little sensitivity. I did not lose anyone in that tragedy although my mother was a little to close for comfort when it happened. I am glad they got the consent of the families, I am happy they are donating even a little money to charity, and I am glad the story was told, but in my opinion, the story was told well by the families of the people on flight 93. hopefully it will never happen again……
Point well taken, but the sensitivity thing may have gone a bit overboard. They are technically erasing history on the screen. America must always remember what happened. It would be a sad state of affairs that if in the near or far future, a child, born after the tragedy viewed a film that had the Towers in it, and had to ask his/her parents what those buildings were. With the selective curriculum in schools these days, I fear it will be omitted. Hell, I recently overheard a discussion by a few high schoolers in the area, and they believed Nixon was the cause of WWII, that’s just plain scary. I understand the need for sensitivity, but there is a point when reality must take the place of it. The friends I lost, some of which were my true drinking buddies. I do not want them cast into the Shadows of the Forgotten so little Johnny doesn’t have to see the Towers coming down, but then goes upstairs and rips off enemy’s heads on his X-Box. I fear this is truly a case of selective sensitivity.
I see your point and did not mean for you to take it as I don’t think they should ever show the towers or have them omitted from school curriculum or be a taboo subject at home. Our children know what happened and have seen the footage, their school sends home a flyer if they will be studying a sensitive topic in school etc. I am thankful that the few movies that were released did take the towers out of the movies, before being released because of the date being so close to a terrible tragedy, NOW however I think it’s time we move past the tragedy and celebrate the lives lost so they/and it will never be forgotten. and I don’t mean celebrate as in glad they are gone, I mean celebrate that they were here, and we knew them or of them. They are now Icons in America.
[Comment ID #32640 Quote]
Amen.
[Comment ID #32919 Quote]
Funny, all of the firefighters I know have never seen either of those movies. I’m always trying to ask questions, like “is that what it’s like?” or “would you guys do that?” and they can never answer me. ๐
I’ve always wondered how realistic it was.
And I can’t wait to see the Pirates sequel. Kiera Knightley, mmmm ๐
[Comment ID #32976 Quote]
I see we’re on the same page, this is a good thing. I am just amazed at the selective omissions in the current society, attempting to placate the masses with a pseudo-realism, in an attempt to make the world a hazard-free eutopia. I was raised in the military (hence our company’s name) and was subject to first-hand realism nearly every day. It scares me how society is trying to put up a cocoon around our youth, so as to shield them from the numerous realities that an individual MUST face. A few years back, many schools attempted to stop sports programs in general, because those that “couldn’t make the team” would feel inadequate, this is nothing short of nonsensicle. Everyone cannot do everything, and good ‘ol competition not only makes an individual stronger, it prepapres him/her for the inevitable competition they will face later in life, whether it be in the workplace, or just driving on a congested highway (they actually consider a drivers liscence in NJ a priviledge, LOL!). I don’t want to see the erasing of history in any form, merely to perpetuate some weird feel-good sense in an individual who must be totally detached from the real world. Where would it end? Hell, might as well put condos in Arlington Cemetery, and melt the USS Arizona down for scrap to build a Prius. Sorry, this topic is very close to my heart, as it should be for most. Carry on… ๐
melt it and make a prius, omg LMAO. that was funny, I agree that it should be close to all our hearts, when the towers fell it didn’t just affect people in this country. I don’t think the truth about much will ever come out about our history, the views on who won lost how and why are very skewed in my opinion, and everyone wants to be so politically correct as not to offend anyone else. it’s sad.
Politically correctness is a rubber crutch. As my dad said many years ago, “It takes less intelligence to be offended by a joke, than it is to laugh at one”. These words are undeniably true. The PC world is pathetic, it’s not unlike the infamous “Thought Police”. To bend your own morals and ethics in order to subjugate yourself to appease another not only shows a lack of spine, but one of self-loathing. Wow, looks like I’m getting a lot off my mind today, thanks. ๐
[Comment ID #32987 Quote]
While some of the pyrotechniques were- of course- way overblown, Ladder 49 was extremely well done. I saw most of Backdraft & thought it pretty stupid and don’t even get me started on that ‘Rescue me’ farce with Dennis what’s his name. L49 had the life at the firehouse, especially the practical jokes, down cold ๐ This firefighter anyway, highly recommends it. There was a lot of attention to detail that the average joe wouldn’t catch, mostly in some of the radio traffic used for background noise.
The wife was being b**chy with me one day & so I rented it for the evening movie- she hadn”t seen it. No more bi**h ๐

anyone heard from MSK? I am wondering how the new baby is. He must be so freakin excited ๐
I agree with the Creator about the Twin Tower not needing to be erased from history. We need to be able to tell our kids of our past and the people in it!
Mark me down for pirates of the carribean as well!!! ๐
[Comment ID #33000 Quote]
100% accurate. The PC’ness of current society is a scourge against true greatness. It often requires the complete abandonment of truth and reality. Greatness comes from doing what is right and what is not always easy. Political correctness merely requires the guise of not offending at any cost which is offensive in and of itself. Don’t buy into it.

You’re welcome Matt! Thanks for being such a good sport about the contest.
Just to let everyone know. I watched MI3 tonight. Several good twists. I didn’t think it was too bad. IMO, better than the first two but it is just my opinion!
I’d just like to make a general statement about how annoying I find it when I’m selling something on Ebay, and someone watching the auction takes the time to send me a message like “The price is too high, you should really lower it.” (Usually made by someone with a 40% positive feedback rating, and a member for three weeks) Okay buddy, I’ll get right on that! ๐

I’ve been thinking about this current topic (which should be scary from the start), and let’s see, the standard Hollywood actor/actress has a very large vacuum between the left and right ear canals, except for Tom Cruise, because he owns the Mother Ship, he’s just a waterhead. If we are able to cause a sonic resonance across Hollywood, perhaps we could perpetuate a mass implosion, and they would all just cease to exist, kind of like Scanners, due to the vacuous cranial cavity. Just a thought.
Let’s hear a round of applause my Detroit Pistons please! LeBron’s gonna think about going back to school after this series ๐

I was gona watch that soon. I’m always dubious about multiple sequels tho….they kinda just drag on along the same old predictable plot
The fact that Tom Cruise owns his own “Mother Ship” should speak for itself.
[Comment ID #36016 Quote]
This one won’t disappoint you there ๐ The technology is pretty cool, but you’ve got the bad guy figured out in about 20 minutes as well as the plot. As far as sequels go, it isn’t all *that* bad.
If MI2 was any indication of how this one is, I’ll wait til its on network TV. It should have been titled “Mission Glib” or more so “Tom Cruise Impossible” with all the super-human crap he did in the last one, it was just a hair short of the matrix ๐
[Comment ID #36171 Quote]
Tell me about it. When we got the tickets for the show we told them we wanted 2 for the Tom Cruise movie. I thought it was hilarious but the movie person didn’t laugh! He does many superhuman stunts in this movie as well ๐ For me it was entertainment and not too much more

Lost season 2 has finally started over here. We are on episode 3. lol. I have seen upto 15 so have got to wait to catch up – unless I see my friend some time soon
Ryan and I watched the skeleton key and when a stranger calls. when a stranger calls is a good movie oppurtunity to scare the crap out of your kids garanteed they will never answer the phone again. there were very few suspenseful bits and the end was mediocre, a pretty predictable movie, but good if you just want to kill some time. The skeleton key was a pretty good movie, better than average ending, the middle was filled with interesting history, however if you think hoodoo and voodoo are evil don’t watch it. it’s filled with the supernatural, magick, not scary per se but suspenseful, quite a twist at the end.
hey all bloggers, Bret is giving away 2 CaJohns items if you can guess how many of CaJohns things he carries in his store, 1 guess per blogger and you have to be close without going over the number he has. He would like everyone to make their guesses in the ask your maker thread ๐
that would be the question for the maker thread
tesing 123 does anyone look at this thread anymore?
Your looking to see if you can be the last post of May without being challenged. Aren’t you!

LOL – Of course. Last and first of the month! I have the first post on this thread, for this month but technically Jim beat me (last post on last months thread!)
Actually – I wish this were used more. Need to see if Nick can add another recent comments just for this (maybe top 3 or 4 comments from here so people can see there is action on it) then I think it will get used more. Now people (and myself most certainly included) seem to post on the latest thread.
