    Jon,
generallee (Dennis the Menace) is utterly incapable of ingesting anything the least bit hot. Bell peppers are pushing his envelope. We want him to at least try 😉

Just got my box, and much to my delight, it had the Otc (that’s Off The Charts) within – probably because I said I liked Blair’s Sauces, lol! Anywho, I haven’t tried it yet, but I will within the hour – got a fellow chilihead coming over for the taste test. I’m almost afraid to try this; hottest I’ve had so far is Blair’s After Death…>=D

Just got my RS red savina hot sauce in the mail. Opened it up right away and HELL YEAH!!! This stuff kicks ass. Took a full spoonfull right off and has kick ass taste and texture. I love hot and its got some heat but not a burn your tounge off heat. Its the right balance of heat and taste. You can tell its got Red Savinas in it. I then took another spoonfull and I think ill be able to eat this bottle by itself without putting it on any food. 🙂 Its that good. Its a lime, vinegar based sauce but once again, not overpowering vinegar taste. Good balance. Ill be getting more from SCU foods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Received a bottle of the cayenne sauce yesterday. It had a mild level of heat, and tasted similar to Tabasco, but much spicier, and better tasting. The label claims 30,000 scovilles, but I can’t imagine that being accurate…I would have guessed 10,000. Some tasters might be put off by the vinegary taste and similarity to Tabasco, but I truly enjoyed it. This is a good hotsauce for non-chilehead friends who are over to enjoy tacos and mexican food! I will be buying more SCU products in the future!

    OTC…is simply amazing.

The ingredients alone tell of freshness – although admittedly I don’t like the water on the list, I don’t mind it. Normal and Scotch Bonnet Habaneros make up the bulk of the pepper flavor, and extract makes for the heat – and you can tell. It is, however, a pleasant heat – without knowing how many scovilles the sauce is myself, I’d estimate roughly 50k-125k or so – hotter than After Death, but a different kind of heat. After Death punches you in the mouth, OTC pierces your tongue/lip/whatever other parts of your anatomy you may unfortunately touch.

The only things I’d change about this sauce are the heat and the thickness – I’d say it’s just a TAD too thick, and the heat could probably be fixed by swapping the amounts of regular and scotch bonnet habaneros. I’ll probably be giving a more in-depth review in an E-Mail to Jon (Thanks!), but suffice it to say that I have a new favorite sauce, and once I’m capable of ordering off the internet this is first on my list – unless you ship to Gatlinburg Pepper Palace, in which case I’ll be picking more up this December.
