ZERO JERKY UPDATE:
The first batch was a disaster. But that was using the ground meat. Did a sliced meat wet marinade this past weekend that turned out to be my best jerky yet. The marinade was hot as hell, but the heat got lost in the drying process. Got another batch going in the dryer tonight with the heat kicked up a couple of more notches. I’m just trying to be careful with the zero, but I could always just dump the whole lot in then it ain’t my fault if it’s not hot enough! Ha!
Actually, the heat came out about right for a regular hotjerky, it’s hot. But it just isn’t an extreme hot yet. Gotta get that Holy Sh*t reaction, then I’ll be happy! Creator, the zero has added nothing but heat. No flavoring ofthe marinade at all. Just the way it’s supposed to be. I love this stuff. I did a small sample with no zero, but the same marinade mix and the tastes between the two are identical except for the heat.
If all goes well tonight, I will have Zero Jerky in TN with me. If not, then al failed samples will be discarded appropriately! 😉 That means that I take it to work with me. Best way to get rid of jerky I have found yet! Lots of people there to help with the disposal! Ha!

Once the recipe is perfected, you get a batch for sure. I have not forgotten, just have a lot on my plate right now and have not had a lot of time to play with the jerky much. After I screwed up the first batch I got a little discouraged, but the train’s back on track and picking up speed. Gatorman Jerky has gone from an experiment in simplicity, to a strive for perfection. To be honest, I never thought that I could make jerky this good. Yes, it’s that much better than the stuff I sent out to everyone. It would not have been possible without the help and support of many people here on the HSB. Too many to name, but I think you all know who you are. So thanks Guys.
