I’ve been contacted by a TV show producer that’s here in the New York area and looking to do a show on hot sauces and hot sauce fanatics – The show will air on HDTV across the country and they’ve already interviewed several folks in the industry and even took the time to make the trek to Avery Island not too long ago.
What we’re looking to do now if organize a gathering of chile pepper & hot sauce fanatics tonight! The gathering will be informal, at Spanky’s BBQ here in NYC and will consist of beer drinking, food eating and hot sauce tastings. The producers want to interview a few folks present at the gathering, but obviously not everyone there has to be on camera if they don’t want to be. I think we’re going to try to meet up around 5 the evening of the event and go until the producers get enough video shot.

Hey Nick We just caught this on TV last night! It was great! Once again there’s Creator with the vial of Zero and those damn toothpicks!!!! Whats worse was the glare in his eyes! Good stuff.
The whole show was really great, saw a ton of people from the industry and a really great segment on Tabasco and how its made, bottled, stored etc…… They even had a whole spot on how mash is made and kept in barrels for up to 150 years to ferment. Really interesting stuff.
The whole time I saw poor Laura my heart went out to her. The pain!!!!! That girl needed a gallon of milk at her side but she was a trooper. Jonathan was so excited to sit and watch you guys, see who the man behind Defcon was and even recognized a few others he’s met threough THT. Good stuff, I wish we could have made it.
What channel/time will this be on again?

Ill let you know, it was on last night at 6 on channel 744 (?) I think. It was called “The Best of the Best” Ill try looking for it now and let you know if I find it.

Yeah that was it, I just looked up the channel on the HDTV guide and the name it gave the channel was Universal HD. I can’t find a program lineup though, if anyone else does please post the info. We missed the first half hour.
Yeah, we had fun taping it. I even got Maggie to try the ZERO, albeit for the last time. She kicked the crap out of me on the train ride home. LOL!
